Shiny new thread.

Our local group had our first socially distant raid t'other day, there were 11 in the lobby and only 3 of us were physically at the gym. The bantz on the message group afterwards was funny though after I introduced them to a new word.

That's the negative side of lockdown, many players are too worried to get within 10m of another. There are some friends I haven't seen in months, and just a few I have seen to have a socially distant chat. Still, mustn't grumble.

@VioletVerity @HoldingForGeneralHugs shall we all agree 9am tomorrow morning? I will set my alarm on my phone so I remember. Message back to confirm

I found Giovanni, I battled Giovanni and after 3 goes I didn't beat him, any tips?

@HighBrows here are some tips.
I always start with a level 40 Smackdown/ Stone Edge Aggron against the Persian - it doesn't hit as hard but won't die either so you'll still be on your first Pokémon against his second. Either that or swap it out and then back in later, when you can use it to take a hit when you're out of shields.
Don't use a machamp. It'll be dead before you blink.

Although if it's any consolation, it once took me 8 goes to beat Giovanni. That was the day I started powering things up to level 40. Basically, you have to hit Giovanni with the right Pokémon powered up to your trainer level. If you're using level 20 Pokémon and you're a level 30 you won't win.

I am about to go beat friends (1 day off) with LOADS of people but have been waiting for a mass coordinegging which hasn’t happened in months! Is that fixed for 7pm tonight or do I have the wrong end of the stick?

My apologies for not opening gifts often recently. 1. I've been really snowed under with work and haven't been playing as often

1. I'm saving eggs as I don't want a load of Omanytes so waiting for Galarian forms later
2. There's several people who are due to level up friendship and I'm scared of triggering and them missing out on the XP, as I said I'm not too bothered about it myself.

I will try to tag people later to find out if they want to egg and then put notes on them so I don't accidentally open gifts on my quest for Galarians

How long will this challenge stay on for ?!

It's hatch 15 eggs and win 15 raids, would take 15 days if you use the free raid pass each day !!

The quests run for as long as you need as there are no special Pokémon to catch. In fact a lot of the quests will take time...... 15 features a lot.......

It finishes Monday I think bigchris I’m hoping that as long as we start during the event it’ll last indefinitely as fifteen eggs and raids will take me a while...
I saw on leek duck the next round has fifteen trainer battles to do as well.

To be fair at least you put a title on your alarm, mine went off and it took me a minute to remember what I was doing!

I'll take ages to do 15 raids and hatch eggs. I let DD have my phone again without thinking and she bought another poffin so I've only got 97 coins again.

I did a few trainer battles for previous challenges by going on the battle league with low cp pokemon just to do it quickly as I've not been bothering with that but that counts as battling another trainer. Probably very confusing for the person on the other end who wins in a few seconds
