I was having my Socially Distant amble around town yesterday afternoon, heading towards The Common when an Alolan Meowth appeared. As I had a Star Piece on I tapped it and was a bit shocked that it was shiny. I didn't know they could be shiny.

I just came on to also say my buddy gave me an awesome 50 balls just now! Which was needed as I'm not going out till after weekend and was running low on balls!!!
Hopefully get enough Abra today to do an evolve!!!

I put an incense on and have caught loads of abra, but disappointed with the shiny, I almost didn’t realise he was shiny!!

are you using an iPhone? You need to go to the Pokémon go website and do it from there x
Also I think the evolved shiny looks better than the basic (makes a change!)

I've had a couple of shinies but nothing decent so far, DS got 12 in half an hour Shiny Alakazam is fat better than the Abra.

Did you all know you can get 5 Abras by taking photos of your buddy too?

Scraggy has brought me 3 gifts of 51 balls each, well done to Niantic for that.

That was my favourite community day ever. Laid on my hammock in the garden and still got 3 shinies. Thank you Niantic! And the special research was achievable too.

That was good tumpymummy! I also stayed in my garden and put on an incense which lasted 3 hours and my buddy kept giving me gifts of 50 balls! Unfortunately no shinies appeared but I got enough candy to evolve an alakazam. His charge move is a bit crap so I might need to try some battles in next few days to win a machine. Unfortunately i'm crap in Master League - my Pokémon are just not strong enough - I need it to go back to Great or Ultra League battles...

Can pick whichever league you fancy on the battles at the mo’ and you only need to win one to get a Pokémon jill

Yeah the Pokémon available to win (for me anyway) aren’t great either. I do find the master league far too hard though.
Dd found a shiny meowth yesterday, I found a lillipup, the meowth is definitely a nicer colour!

But look at the evolve! The persian isn't as nice at all; I prefer the meowth.

Yep the evolve was a good ‘un, that’s a couple lately that improve usually they seem to get worse - my tango’ed geodude was much nicer that the baby poo graveler.
I don’t think I’d have realised I had a shiny lillipup without the screen graphics.

Dd got a shiny volbeat today I’m sulking (just a smidge )

I was more than happy with my haul of 9 shiny Abra, all of which were rubbish. My friend's son did the whole 6 hours and ended up with 83!
