You come and post. Shiny new thread to which all are welcome. Including me, for some reason.

I would happily arrange a trip to Liverpool (esp as DH supports one of the football teams there so he would be up for it) but we are going on holiday that day! It’s literally the only weekend plan I have all year.

I’m hoping for Machop community day. Machamps are incredibly useful for raids and battles and I could do with more.

Anyone around for a trainer battle or three...?

I'm going to be away that weekend too, somewhere with one gym, two Pokestop, and only a smattering of spawn points. I'm therefore voting rhyperior as I've already got loads of good ryhorns and enough candies and sinnoh stones to evolve 6. I can live without another wishy-washy shiny.

Has anyone got any tips please?! I am rubbish at excellent curveballs, i can do normal curveballs but that's about it... and so I'm stuck on my special research challenges as 2 different challenges require excellent curve balls and I am rruubbiisssh! And getting frustrated! Haha!

@tinkerbellsays the excellent curveballs are easier on the big round ones. I can't do them either though I was stuck for ages on the three great throws in a row.

@tinkerbellsays some Pokémon are easier than others for curveballs. I can’t really do excellent but found Rayquasa brilliant for them. I tend to find I have better luck with 5* raids but only some, not all. Heatran isn’t great. I have a 5 great curveballs spinda task that I’m struggling with

@dillite sorry we're not friends. My trainer code is 2745 7574 7183 if you want to add me, I can't remember how long you have to be friends for before you can battle but I play quite a lot as my dds school is close to a couple of gyms and we live close to the shops so it's only phone issues that have prevented me from playing.

I have sent you a request. We need to be ultra friends in order to battle, which does take a while. Gifts are a problem for me these days as I no longer work near pokes tops so can't top up my bag till weekends. I then ration them out all week. This might change soon though, fingers crossed!

@tinkerbellsays I find Mr. Mime and Sodowoodo good for excellent curves. Also the Lapras in your weekly research box. Don't berry it (well you can still use a pineapp it for double candies) and just use red balls. It'll break out but can't run away so you can practice.
There's YouTube videos with tips too.

I always do excellent on makuhitas for some reason. You sort of have to wait for the circle to shrink, but I haven't done one for ages so don't listen to me!

Local ingress player has added two new pokestops and one stop has turned into a gym today! Hurrah.

I've had all my excellent curveballs on Snover and Wailmer, nice big circles to work with!

There's quite a few charmeleons around today and they seem quite good for curve balls. As PP's have said, the bigger ones are easiest.

Definitely watch the you tube videos it's difficult to explain in words how to do it. You have to hit when the circle is small. I do my throw like a curvy lower case letter b.

One of our local group posted a photo of a Shiny Gyarados (Red Gary to us) in the wild and catches of shiny Flappyfish have increased.

There are shiny Magmars and Vulpix out there too! @DoctorTwo although I have yet to see any of them!

Oh thank christ I found you lot. I'm sooooooo late to the party but finding the school run so tedious - needed to add some interest. Anyway I'm about 4 days in and so clueless.
