Polly99 I think we are also 2 days from going ultra. As it's so close to community day, as most people tend to put an egg on from 10am, it would be great to do it then, if you're okay with that too? If you open the gift you have from me sometime between now and Friday, then I'll trigger the level up on Saturday.

Not going to go mad on community day. A bit like the eevee, I may evolve a shiny for novelty value, but the special move isn't great.

Soubriquet It means you’ve caught the Pokemon with a critical catch, so they can’t jump out the ball or flee; they’re caught instantly.

Every time you have throw a PokeBall you have a small random chance of it being a critical catch Smile

Hi all, I've name changed and have just added lots of you as friends. Can someone explain the coordinating friends thing for me - 1) how do you know who you are going to up-friend with and when 2) what do I need to do for us both to get extra XP??

Hi BettysMom from another Betty!
If you click on one of your friends and then click on the hearts in the top left hand corner as in the first pic, it will take you to the screen in the second pic. If you press on the heart that is not fully coloured in it will tell you how many days (or interactions) to go before levelling up. When it says 1 day then (so long as you haven't interacted with that person that day) the next interaction, be it opening a gift, battling, trading or raiding with, will trigger the levelling up.
Usually just before this we try to contact the other person so agree a mutually acceptable time to put a lucky egg on and trigger in order to get double xp. Some people don't bother egging, but it's nice to check! We have found that 10-10:30 on community day is quite good too as most people have an egg on then anyway.
If one person isn't able to play at the agreed time, it is possible to put an egg on as soon as you next open the app but before the notifications start coming through, and you will still get the double xp.

In order to tell whether you have interacted with a friend for the day, look for a blue halo around their pic in the friends list. In this pic you can see a blue halo around the bottom 2 friends (can be harder to see around a mystic friend!), but none around the top one.

The shiny is crap though but I don’t care!

Also, Does anyone know why it’s double candy at the minute? Can’t see on any of the news that that is a reward for any of the events.

@BaronessBomburst yeah he did! Wasn't sure if i was going to catch him or not

@WitchSharkadder how do you guys find so many shinies?! Not once have i found one, in pokemon go or any other game - and I've spent a fair amount of time playing them
