A friend has just posted a picture of a new 'Mon: Munchlax, a baby Snorlax. Can't wait to hatch one.

There's been a discussion raging on my local WhatsApp group about how many players you need for a heatran raid. One trainer was in a group of 5 who defeated it easily, another group of five couldn't defeat it at all.
Now, there's a player in my village who has an international ranking. He defeated heatran on his own! He had two phones, both with his own accounts on. He posted screenshots of his teams. One had a team of kyogres, the other a team of groudons. All 12 Pokémon were over 4,000 CP and nothing was under 96% IV.
He is lovely though. He's the one who traded DS the Mewtwo, and who's wife came to the rescue when we tried to do a Marowak raid. He's great with the kids too and leaves gyms alone if he knows it's children who have just added to them. He always waits until after midnight to make sure that they get the coins.

BaronessBomburst It depends entirely on the players level and how good they are at the game. No good being a Level 40 and not understanding or maximising type, movesets and the other complexities of battle.

I did it with three a few days ago, but we’re all Level 40 with maxed out Pokemon specifically targeted to defeat Heatran.

pottypotamus No, I don’t believe so. It appears they end on the 2nd January at 9pm with the other holiday bonuses.

However, any eggs you have from before 2nd January have the chance of hatching the new Pokemon afterwards as the Pokemon in the egg is determined when you receive it.

tumpymummy 7km eggs along with Mantyke and Chingling.

Juni Tier 3 raids are soloable if you're level 36+ and have the right counters. Go Ranger will give you those, it's how I got Alolan Raichu.
BaronessB Heatran can be taken down with 3 as long as they are level 39/40 and use the right counters.

This game is more intricate than it first appears. It's why I continue to love it.

Hey DoctorTwo thanks for the info re level 3! I'm level 31 at the moment but will check out Go Ranger. I asked for a second phone for xmas! Tho DP will probably not get me one, I am enjoying playing a lot.
