Yeah I've held. Onto a bunch of 90+ eevees but it seems like you can't do much with them, that it's not.about evolving in the time it's more about catching?

Yep. I'm in z5, so Greater London and I hardly ever see them - I can be out and about all day and only catch one. I never see them at work, which is in town (loads of Magicarp though as I'm on the river!).

the special move on community day only applies to those caught or hatched during the actual periods this weekend, unlike all the previous community days.

bettytaghetti Actually, I think it was only the first community day that they let you change moves on the Pokémon you already had.

You definitely haven’t been able to for quite a while. I was particularly perturbed by this as I had a 100% Tyrannitar that I would have liked Smack Down for.

Just an addendum to that, I’m talking about already evolved Pokémon, so because I had evolved my 100% Larvitar to a Tyrannitar before the community day I was unable to use a TM to get Smack Down.

Had I evolved it during the event I would have gained the move.

Also, Eevee is a special case, hence this announcement.

Eevee only has a single evolution, but as we know there are many Eeveelutions it can turn into. Because of this, it would be unfair to allow TMs on existing Eevee’s.

Wailer I've been able to evolve a stored mon and get the special move on each previous community day, so not sure why you had a problem.

I read some rumours about gen 4 coming out - it’s just I am desperate to do an evolve session and if there is double xp for the release I want to take advantage! Anyone know?

I added an addendum to clarify I was talking about already fully evolved Pokémon; it was not possible to use a TM on a Tyrannitar you had before the community day to get Smack Down, however if you evolved a Pupitar into a Tyrannitar during those hours, you would get the move.

Summernamechange A gentleman has ‘leaked’ a Gen IV Evolution Event, but it is absolutely not yet confirmed. I posted this earlier in the thread:

He’s basically saying we’ll be getting Gen IV Evolutions of previous Pokémon (eg. Rhyperior, Magmortar, Electrivire etc.), new evolution items, double XP, increased spawns of evolved Pokémon and Gen III evolutions to finally be released in the wild (except Milotic), along with a few other things.

While the source of this ‘leak’ is credible in that they have been correct and successfully leaked before, it is not confirmed, so we can only hope

I do at least two mass evolve sessions every week, so I’m not saving up ready just in case we get double XP. If we do, great! But it won’t effect my lucky egg sessions.

I’m looking forward to the next nest migration, I hope my local nest is something better than Dunsparce this time. It’s been good things like Scyther, Onix and Duskull in the past but also a Zubat nest...

Going past it on the bus I've just realised that one of my local(ish) parks is a Yanma nest, and I only have one... so guess what the DDs and I will be doing tomorrow?! 😁

I only have one Yanma too, caught it on holiday in Spain. It doesn't have an evolution yet but will when all of gen IIV is finally released.

A quick question about the Eevee day. Will the evolutions be random? I did the naming trick for them before I knew / cared about IVs and as a result have a terrible Espeon. It'd be good if you could control the evolutions.

You can still control the evolution to Espeon or Umbreon by having an Eevee as your buddy, walking it for 10km then evolving it whilst still your buddy. Evolve during the daytime for Espeon, nighttime for Umbreon.

Has anyone else noticed an increase in rare spawns recently? I went on this morning and saw a Bagon at the pokestop up the road, then a Beldum spawned in my house! Coincidence?

I was also thinking the spawns are a little different. A fair few evolved pokemon about. Lots of 'wonder' eevee and I don't often see eevee

Anyone tell me how I can make sure to use a supereffective charged attack in a gym battle?

Hi all, sorry to jump on this thread but I have a question. My 6yo ds loves playing this game on my phone when we’re out and about. For his 7th birthday he’s asked if he can have his own device to play the game on. I really don’t want him to have a smart phone but is there anyway of playing this game on any other device? I do have an old iPhone lying around but I really don’t want him to play on internet or anything else, but am happy for him to play Pokemon. Is that doable at all? A phone just for Pokemon? I suppose I’d have to get a contract so he could have data.

I’ve got a 💯 Eevee I’ve been walking. I know I won’t get the special move, but should I go for Umbreon or Espeon (or leave to chance!) for my evolve?
