No shineys but a Lotad appeared. So I can finally stop walking the annoying thing as have enough candy now. Phew

We were staying with friends all weekend so I was only able to get 7 eevees but one of those was a shiny so that's not bad going. One day I am not going to have plans on a community day, that's four in a row I haven't been free!

DS1, who hadn't played po go for 2 whole weeks, before yesterday, just showed me his shiny haul. 12 of them. Twelve!

I got 7.

I never get any shinies ever

I hardly get any either Hannah I just have caught so many Eevee, I have 550 Eevee candies just no shiny or decent IV Eevees to evolve!

It was a one in 23 catch rate over the two days. Sometimes I get loads, sometimes I get one. I do catch everyone I see in the 3 hour slot, put lures on, use incense, stay near pokestops etc.

I have not been out and about much the last few days and couldn't get logged in when I was out :( hoping to get stocked up on gifts tomorrow so thank you to friends who have been sending, loving openig gifts from all over UK, its also kept me in pokeballs when I've not been able to spin pokestops

I had a blast catching up with friends 50 miles from where I live. Over the 2 days I caught over 200 Eevee, 12 of which are shiny. I am now walking a shiny Eevee to get either Espeon or Umbreon, depending on what time I choose to evolve it, and will do another to get its sibling. I have shiny Flareon, Vaporeon and Jolteon. Shiny Jolteon is gorgeous. :o

Did you get any doubles evolving Doctor? I was lucky and got all three but dd had to use 4 shinies to get the original evolutions.

@Mrsmomo I had problems logging in too, it's been quite glitchy lately.

How do you evolve a shiny Espeon and Umbreon?

Double check but I think it's rename Tamao for Umbreon, Sakura for Espeon. Worked for me, but only works once per type apparently. I kept two decent Eevees and 50 candy over, to walk them/evolve at day/night for the standard version of each (which I don't have, yet).

I didn't manage a shiny jolteon
I got several Flareons and a 91% vaporeon shiny but overall shit IV's for the shinys. 1 espeon and i'm walking an eevee to evolve into umbreon. I have 1 spare for the next gen.
Please can everyone open their gifts. I collect loads every day and can't gift them all

@ToadsForJustice, give your chosen Eevee the nickname Sakura for Espeon and Tamao for Umbreon and walk each for 10km. You need to keep it as your buddy when you evolve and evolve Espeon during daylight, and Umbreon during night time. That is Niantic time. I only know this as I asked the same question of my local (ha!) group and this is what two of the most experienced players said. Good luck!

No, that’s not quite right.

If the name trick works (as in you haven’t used it before as it’s one use only), you don’t also have to walk them 10km.

So use Tamao for Umbreon and Sakura for Espeon and you can evolve anytime as long as it’s the first time you’ve used the name trick.

There is a second way to guarantee either Espeon or Umbreon and that’s by walking Eevee as your buddy and then evolving at night for Umbreon or in the daytime for Espeon.

If you're walking an Eevee to evolve make sure you have good gps when you do evolve it, or it will just be a standard evolution. I need one more candy to evolve my shiny Espeon.

Argh just evolved my eevee and still got bloody last resort ARGH. On the upside I got my epseon after walking. I’ll walk around and try Umbreon next. What time is “night”?

Finally managed to get the Spinda task. Unfortunately DD got it first so she's been rubbing it in my face that she beat me to it. Even though I did all the curveballs for us both

Really wish they would increase the pokemon storage soon too, saving coins for it.
