Had a great day with my 8yo, my 10yo even was a bit interested too! We’ve been receiving and sending loads of gifts, it’s been a fun day.

We even spent real money on buying incubators and went out for an extra walk tonight to hatch some eggs!

I have had about a dozen Alolan hatches and have evolved to both Sandslash and Persian. The black rat appears regularly, so I have its evolve too. I really want Aloan Vulpix, actually 2 of them so I can have Ninetails too. :o

I had loads of incubators but the 2k eggs with the water festival burnt through them really quickly! I have one Aloan egg incubating but need to hatch the other 8x2k ones before opening any more gifts.

I’m actually quite surprised by the number of solo players.

I don’t think I would be able to play or enjoy the game without the social aspect! Going to raids and meeting up with our raid group is a huge part of the game for me and without it it definitely wouldn’t be the same.

Not everyone is social though.

Some people like filling their dex, some enjoy a good walk.

This game appeals to lots of people who may find socialising quite stressful.

I know, I was just talking about me and my enjoyment of the game.

But even so, you can’t catch them all and completely fill your Dex without going to raids.

I play the game mostly solo, sometimes DH and I go out together. I get satisfaction from filling my Pokédex with what is possible for me to get. Got nearly everything now. No use hankering afterbthings only available from big raids.

I'm mainly solo too, I love walking around and this sounds daft but is true - I've learnt loads from pokestops. Found some really interesting stuff by varying my route!

I have chatted to some local players, mainly the ones around my age but more in passing. I feel a bit weird going up to a bunch of schoolkids so I don't!
It's possible to raid in central London without socialising. There's so many people especially if it's a new black egg and a busy time e.g. lunchtime. I never see enough people locally though and my local Facebook page is completely silent
