Oh sorry, I hadn't refreshed the thread since this afternoon when raining posted the picture, I've just discovered!

Just got back on and it has gone back to how it was nearly an hour ago!

Now that you get double candy for stuff it seems there is hardly any good pokemon around! Grr.

Agreed. I'm building up Weedles and Pidgeys for the next double xp event. Half egg distance is the only useful perk imo

I too am loving the double candy for Whismur, Pidgey, Weedle, Caterpie etc. I catch loads and then when I do a legendary raid (usually once a day) I put a lucky egg on for it and then spend the remaining time evolving the aforementioned Pokémon.

Helps me eat through XP exceedingly fast!

It's vermin weather, today, so perfect for grinding my last 100k to level 39.

Also, in theory, perfect for the catch a ditto for 3 rare candy task that I have, but they've not been obliging. I caught 3 of the buggers in one day, last week. Just like I tossed a throw an excellent throw for pinap berries because I had a chance to pick up an easier task and hadn't managed it for a whole day, only to immediately catch a zigzagoon with an excellent curveball.

Is there a trick to catching Ditto? Isn't it something to do with unboosted Pokemon when they should be, or vice versa? I need the little shit for stage 5 of the Mew quest and (annoyingly) the one that I caught previously by sheer luck doesn't count, apparently.

Btw, I found a reddit thread where people are posting their trainer codes so that people across the world can add them. I have a load of friends in Australia etc now, so good for that badge,!

I don't know about any tricks, sorry. I just caught every pokemon possible that could be one until I got it.

MeetMeInMontauk No, there is no trick to catching Ditto. You just have to click on and catch every single Pokémon that could possibly be a Ditto.

Have a look at my attached infographic as tothe Pokemon that can be Ditto. Remoraid and Mankey can also be Ditto but are not on the infographic as they are relatively new additions.

So every time you see one of those Pokémon, catch it! It could be Ditto.

If you get a very annoying one e.g. pidgey that constantly pops out the ball it often ends up as a ditto in my experience

Today I opened an octopus on the town hall clock, a rather scary monkey statue and a few days ago I got an iguana with a rude name

Online people say if ditto is disguised as something that should be weatherboosted while ditto isn't, that pokemon won't be boosted so you can tell that way. Obviously, if true, it only works for non-normal type ditto hosts!

@SneakyGremlins I’ve never seen one of those in the wild either, although I’ve seen a few sightings on my local Discord. Have you hatched any Tyrogues? They evolve into Hitmonlee/chan/top depending on their stats.

And cool wild catch sneaky I think I've only seen one and that was ages ago. U live the hitmons they look like they really want a fight. A lot of pokes look too nice to fight.
