HOW much stardust?

I currently have over 3.2Mn stardust, and use it only to power up my best raiders and battlers. So that's a couple of Garys, a Red Gary, 2x T'tars, 2x 100% Feraligatrs, a Vaporeon, a Jolteon, a Kyogre, an Ursaring, 4x Golem, a Dragonite and a Charizard. Red Gary was only powered up for vanity.

When I take down a gym I put expendable 'Mon or shinies in to defend. Atm my shiny Swablu is atop my nearest gym, and a Baltoy has been in a gym for nearly 3 days now. When he comes back he'll be minced.

So yes, save your stardust. Don't power up anything until you get through Level 30, and make sure whatever it is is over 90% IV and over Level 20. My Red Gary is the only 'Mon I've powered up that goes against this, but like I said, vanity. :o

Yes, I’ve been part of a raid group too since raids began last summer. I hung hopefully around a Tyrannitar raid and three others came along to do the same. Of course back then with us being lower levels and having fewer counters four wasn’t enough so we never got that Tyrannitar!

Anyway, we all formed a raid group through WhatsApp and added other players as we saw them. Funny thing is, we all recognised each other as we’d all seen each other playing Pokemon before the social aspect was essential

That raid group is one of the best things about Pokemon Go. We’ve all become really close and look out for one another. It adds an extra special dynamic to the game, I think.

I like the social aspect too and am part of three different raid groups. They use telegraph, WhatsApp and Messenger. One is in my hometown, one around the hospital where I work and one in Holland as my husband works there and I fly there every second weekend.

Can't believe how quickly I've ploughed through level 37 with all these events.

Hatched a Treecko and two 10km eggs are close enough to hatching that I can do them tomorrow when I walk down to Morrisons!

Is a super incubator worth it?

I use it for 10k eggs. I am halfway through level 39 and I am a basic player. I don’t have any legendary Pokemon or do raids very often.

I only use them for 10k eggs. I made an exception when the mareep community day was on and hatched loads with lucky eggs and starpieces running.

Will deffo use those starpieces tomorrow. In desperate need of stardust.

Oh, forgot to say that ds1 has started playing again :)

Blimey I'm only on level 29. But I went months without playing, probably for about a year, so I guess I'm not doing too badly. The IV thing has been really interesting, some high CP pokemon aren't very high and some others are surprisingly high. Looking forward to getting a horde of charmanders before sitting down to watch the Royal wedding!

PickAChew I'm also heading for 38, hoping to get there by the end of the weekend. It's the level that people around here tend to go through the fastest - I think it has the most incentive, it's relatively doable in xp terms and once you hit it there's really not that much gain from further levelling up (at the moment anyway, it looks like that is about to change). But due to life stuff getting in the way, I have gone through 37 at the pace of a snail.

I don't think the extra cost of super incubators is worth it. I only have them if they came in boxes that I wanted for the other stuff. But they can be handy. I try to batch 10k eggs so that it is worth using a lucky egg and star piece when they all hatch. I hold on to super incubators to use when I get a new 10k when there is batch already incubating; it allows that egg to catch up with the others. That's pretty much the only situation I use them.

The forecast for here tomorrow is sun pretty much all day, so if the in-game weather matches, Charmander will be weather-boosted which is good news for stardust.

Oh, and harking back a bit to an earlier conversation. Don't spend stardust on Aggron, it's good but not that good. Aron is so common that you will pick up top-tier iv, high-level ones in the wild. Any high-level, top-tier iv with 14 or 15 attack is plenty good enough to evolve and you can save the stardust for better candidates.

They are tanky but there are alternatives that inflict more damage. I'm considering nerfing the hp on mine and just max-reviving them if I actually want to use them. Bit sick of having to remove them from the Recommended team (the game overcalls resistance in it's recommendations).

Is it a good idea to use a star piece when getting charmanders today? I have two, I guess with the tripling of stardust from the event, you'd get 6 times stardust when catching charmanders?

I'm 34 nearly 35 although the levels have taken me ages since level 30 - I'm sure that was about a year ago but then I worked in London then so so much easier to bag fill and play! Although I'm not too worried. If I level up then I level up I'm more into dex filling.

My sons nap schefule is a pain on community days lol at least i got a shiney from bed.

Do we need to keep the evolution items or can I get rid of them?

Even I got a shiny! Only the 2nd shiny I’ve ever caught. So happy!

Two shineys for me, one with an IV of 96 so well chuffed with that!
