I'm so bored of all the makuhitas, meditites, and machops, roll on tomorrow! I've got one shiny pokemon, a red meditite.

MrsJamin The event doesn’t end until 9pm, so really it’s Tuesday they’ll all be gone unless you’re a nighttime player

MrsJamin Yeah! All events start and end at 9pm for us in the UK (barring community days, which lie between 10am - 1pm)

bettytaghetti Thanks! I’ve been quite lucky with my wild ones (three shiny Magikarp and one of them being 93%!), and I run my community days with military precision to maximise catches, so happy with those too

I'll be glad to see the back of the Makuhitas and Meditites as well, but I managed to get a shiny of each. I'm greedy and wanted two of each so I could have the evolved versions too, but doesn't look that that's going to happen and, as I know plenty of people in the local chat group haven't caught either as a shiny at all, I shouldn't complain.

I got an ex raid pass today for the 22 nd May at 1pm! Think I might have to have a half day off work.

SneakyGremlins Yes. There’s currently a Battle event going on (though it ends at 9pm tonight), where fighting type Pokémon have increased spawns and gym and raid battles give you 2x XP, amongst other battling, raiding and gym benefits.

So if there were any gyms you were wanting gold on, this event was the one you needed

Also, the end of this event won’t see the end of shiny Meditite and Makuhita; once a shiny is in the game you are able to catch it outside of events (barring Lugia, obviously), so if you haven’t got one, don’t despair! They’ll still be available, they’ll just be even harder to come across as fighting spawns go back down to normal.

So, MuddlingMackem, you do still have the chance to get more

Caught a luvdisc and taillow for the first time and they're adorable!!

I'm going to have a lovely evening freeing up space by grinding loads of under 80% 'Mon for candy ready for Community Day, when about 20 of our local group are meeting up for a morning's wander around a local ornamental garden and the town centre chatting, catching and raiding, then a few of us will go for a pint. It's going to be great. I hope...

Oooo, new thread! I've been here from the start under another name. I am very jealous of all the shinies, still need my red gary. I have a billion yellow sumo dudes but no shiny. Focused on turning all my local gyms gold, all my regulars are just need to make more effort with the ones a little out of my way. Caught my Mew, the new quests are fantastic. there are not many people to raid with so it's a wonderful opportunity for me.

I finally managed to get my shiny total to 6!

I can't seem to catch anything with a high cp

@sneakygremlins We can probably catch higher cp than you as we are on higher levels. I also do legendary raids with other people to het high level legendaries

Sneaky it's not all about the cp level as there is lots of other data within each pokemon that contributes to its IV score, which is what actually determines how strong a pokemon is (hopefully someone more knowledgeable will come along and explain this better!). A lot of us use another app such as Poke Genie which will examine a screen shot of a pokemon and give you the IV level for it.
The cp can always be increased by powering up but you don't want to do this unless it's a really high IV 'mon as it uses stardust to power up in addition to candy.

Wartortle I've just noticed that 100% Tangela you hatched ! Wow!! Apart from a 100% Gary my 100percenters are fairly rubbish pokemon. 100% pidgeot, anyone?!

I got a 100 % mankey tonight. My 100% ones are all rubbish too except for a rayquaza.
