No, Silph Road is excellent at keeping a comprehensive list of current tasks.

Their own post, that you linked, specifically says that they exclude potions and revives WhatToDo

"Special rewards (so far) include Rare Candy, Golden Razz and TM's. They exclude Stardust, balls, other berries, potions and revives."

I finally got Articuno. Now I only need Kangaskhan and Tauros to complete Gen1. I'm quite enjoying the water event even though shinies continue to avoid me.

One member of our local group caught 19 shinies in a week. If 1984 was a thing he would be on my list for the 2 minute hate. :o

I currently have win a raid for revives (and two more for rare candy) and threw away the 7 supereffective charge attacks for a max revive.

Wartortle88 Exactly, it does indeed. As in, the research rewards exclude potions and revives now; they aren’t available as rewards at the moment.

You can see how the tasks that previously have revives and potions now give other rewards instead, like rare candies or new encounters.

WhatToDo the Silph Road thread is to record the special research rewards and encounters from the tasks.

The Silph Road are merely defining what they count as special to be included in the list (presumably as otherwise it would be huge), not excluding the other things from rewards entirely.

Wartortle88 The tasks have either changed their rewards or been removed since Articuno was released. Hence some of the same tasks from before now give different rewards, like the win a Tier 3 Raid that previously gave revives now gives a rare candy.

But I think we’ll have to agree to disagree 🤷‍♀️ I’ll just keep going through tasks like I do and keep an eye on rewards.

If I pick up any tasks during this event (and I go through several a day) with revives or potions I will stand corrected.

One with 4 revives picked up from the pokestop just to the right of the gym, as it appears in the screenshot, just before 4 pm today.

Right which tasks have stopped giving revives? As an impartial third party I shall look.

You can post as many photos as you want. Like I said, if I pick up any tasks during this event (and I go through several a day) with revives or potions I will happily stand corrected and post myself.

My house is surrounded by bloody wailmers. I can’t see if there is anything else there (probably just as well as I have no pokeballs).

You can stack encounters and sometimes the game does it for you. If you encounter an encounter reward and the timing turns out to be inconvenient, you can run away and it will still be there for you to go back to.

OrianaBanana No, Pikachu in a Santa Hat is a special event Pokemon, not a shiny. A shiny Pokemon is a Pokemon with a different colour.

SneakyGremlins No, you can only have three research tasks at any one time. What you can do, however, is stack encounters. So if you run away from a Pokemon in a research encounter, it will be stacked and be there for you to catch for as long as you want.

OrianaBanana Ghosts official increased spawn time is between 8pm and 2am, however, I see a fair few guests if I’m on an early shift going to work between 6am and 7am.

Could I theoretically find a wild gyrados with the event that's on?

I just wanted to brag say that the first Gyarados I ever got in PoGo was a wild one; caught whilst on a tram going into Manchester city centre. I named it Gary and I still have him, even though he's got relatively low (~900) CP.
