Anybody remember this? No? Just me then. I managed to raid and catch Latios yesterday.

My partner just got his 6th exraid pass and he has a 100% catch rate for Mewtwo so far. I only have 2.

BeesAndMist Ex Raid locations are chosen in a very specific way. It’s all down to cells and location and number of hits etc. etc.

We are in a small town and have five ex-raid locations, but only one or two drop at a given time.

Ex raid passes are not random; they are based on you hitting a number of factors to be able to achieve one.

Mewtwo is the most famous, sought after and powerful Pokémon of them all, so the tight raid parameters are justified.

I was wondering what the catch rate was in Ex-Raids.

I have my first pass for Tuesday. What are the odds on catching it? Presumably your DH (Sirius) is unusual.

stayingaliveisawayoflife it doesn’t sync with it’s app it syncs with the Pokemon go app. Use settings to start it then it’s always at the top right hand side. You need to slowly go through the screens and need everything with a tick apart from the vibrate screen which I always have turned off. To change from cross to tick is a bit fiddly. Just hold your finger on the red bit until it swops.

GreenShadow Mewtwo’s base catch rate is 6%, which is actually significantly higher than other Legendary Pokémon.

I’ve attached a picture of the catch rate percentages depending on your throw and berry type. With a golden razz and an excellent curve ball, your chance is 47%, but most people fall between that.

Just make sure you’re using golden razzberries and trying to get an excellent throw. If you can’t do curve balls, don’t try on Mewtwo as you’ll waste your chances.

Loved Community Day, everyone was so friendly in my town this time. I think the weather helps! I caught 202 Charmander, seven being shinies and one 100% IVs! (Sadly not shiny though.) I missed another 100 because my game crashed and it despawned, waaah.

I also just got an EX pass - fourth received but will only be second done the others were times I couldn't make.

I got another ex pass today too so have two in my bag at the moment

Thanks for that Murinae. I was trying to sync with the gotcha app. I will do it your way if it vibrates in the morning. I was hoping it wasn’t broken as when it is working it is so much better than the go plus as the catch rate is higher.

stayingaliveisawayoflife my gotcha was acting funny and I got these instructions from the gotcha help desk. So maybe try this if it’s still not doing what it should

SneakyGremlins I would advise against being so quick to evoke Pokémon, particularly ones like Slakoth which are so very rare in the wild and really hard to get candies for. Even more especially so when you’re such a low level.

If you evolve too quick, you’ll probably end up with a far better IV one later but not able to evolve because you used the candies earlier to evolve a poorer one.

I would always wait until you have enough candies to fully evolve (125 candies for three form Pokémon) to avoid that.

Sneaky don't worry too much. If it's from an egg it should be ok. Might not be the best one ever but egg ones are generally ok. I used to evolve all sorts of rubbish at the start as I couldn't wait to do it I have learnt lots of tips from these threads since then though but spent about a year doing it 'wrong'

I got a shiny ho-oh today. Seems to be more people catching them than the shiny lugias.

I've only done the bare minimum today. At 9.30 I got a phone call asking me to work, so of course I said yes. I got in at 2120 having driven from Essex to Manchester and back with no chance to hunt.

Aaaaah got cha not syncing with phone this morning. Having to catch all Pokemon myself!

Got Mewtwo at my first ex raid today. I don't do a lot of raiding because of my weird schedule so it was a nice surprise! Hope we get a chance to catch Tauros soon...
