Yes, I know you have to have seen The Herbs in the early 70s to get the title, but meh.

Still no chuffing Mareep from a 2km egg, and a 10km hatched a fucking Sudowoodo. Harumph.

My 96% snorlax just exists to look pretty. The only time I put him in a gym he got kicked out in about a minute.

WhatToDoAboutThis2017 · 24/10/2017 20:31

I always put my Blissey in first, then my two Snorlax, then red Gyarados then my high CP Kangaskhan Wink

Mrsmomo · 24/10/2017 21:18

I have no shiny ones :(
Why can't I transfer my Halloween pikachu guys? It says I can't transfer an event Pokémon?

PickAChew · 24/10/2017 21:49

I use my blissey in gyms that are close enough to bus stops for a drive by knock out. It takes do long to fight against that the gym usually survives until I pass it again.

Currently saving for another. The event is helping this along nicely.

I have 2 gyarados and 2 dragonite powered right up which I save for attacking because they're pretty tough, even against Pokémon they're not well matched against.

GreenShadow · 24/10/2017 22:12

Mrsmomo - you should be able to transfer your Halloween Pikachu but only by doing it individually rather than a mass transfer with other - if that makes sense.

PokemonGo · 24/10/2017 23:09

I don't put high powered Pokémon in gyms anymore. My local gyms are all gold now and as long as I get my daily 50 coins I don't need to hold gyms. I usually just throw a low CP pokemon of whichever type I'm trying to get candy from. Then if I've spare berries I can feed it get a little stardust and the occasional candy.

The other advantage of using low CP mon is that it hopefully encourages enemy teams to take it down and fill it up.... then I can come back again and take it down.

I've currently got larvitars and a very low level chansey in gyms. My big blisseys are just gathering dust in my dex 😂

Mrsmomo · 24/10/2017 23:11

Yes Greenshadow, that totally makes sense, thank you so much ;)

KadabrasSpoon · 24/10/2017 23:20

I do the same as Pokemongo and put average pokemon in gyms.
I've been doing them by alphabet so one day I put ones that begin with A then the next day B etc. I think I need to have a word with myself. Today was H if you're wondering Grin

HarveySchlumpfenburger · 24/10/2017 23:22

I learnt my lesson when I lost my Rhydon in a gym for a week.

The ones nearest me change hands 4-5 times a day so I don't see it makes a difference. One of them changes hands so often I don't think I've ever kept anything in it for more than 10 mins.

The others tend to change mostly at weekends. So f you take it down most stuff will stay for a few days.

Icouldbeknitting · 25/10/2017 08:03

Whenever I weed out Pokemon or catch something that then turns out to have low IV I rename it starting with "aa". When it comes to popping stuff in gyms that are deep in the woods where they are defended by location then I sort by name and stick in one of the aathings. The big stuff goes in gyms that are silver that I'd like to hang on to.

Igneococcus · 25/10/2017 08:37

I had 2 pokemons in gyms for 53 days now and one for 32. It doesn't really matter if I put a good or bad one in because there is absolutely no point in doing raids here so they aren't missed. There is never another player at a raid anyway. I only ever get coins these days when I'm travelling.
We rural player have been completely left behind.

HarveySchlumpfenburger · 25/10/2017 09:37

It's not just rural players. Even in a not rural area with loads of gyms I never see anyone raiding. It's only happened once and there were 3 of us which isn't enough for a legendary.

Usually I'm just limited to solo raids.

WhatToDoAboutThis2017 · 25/10/2017 12:15

We rural player have been completely left behind.

I know it's sucks, but it is a team game, and there's not a lot they can do about the fact that you live in an area with few people; thereby lessening the chances of those people being regular Pokemon Go players.

They haven't left you behind; there's only so much they can actually do when the game requires interaction.

DamnDeDoubtanceIsSpartacus · 25/10/2017 13:12

Dd has taken interest in the game again so we can take down a few raids on our own but no other bugger turns up. We go to London every so often, there are always people to raid with but not something you can do all the time. On holiday at the mo and the gyms are changing hands quite regularly which is fun. Could really do with some new pokemon to catch though.

DoctorTwo · 26/10/2017 19:02

Now I know this game is taking the piss.

I've got a 98% pidgey you caould have to go with that. Or a 100% Hoppip.

dillite · 26/10/2017 23:38

I have discovered various Pokemon movies on youtube that DD and I have been watching. If you have children that enjoy watching the films, you might want to check them out.

Just spotted this on Twitter

While we're waiting for the rest of gen3, has anyone downloaded Draconius Go?

There's loooads more pokestops (ok they're not called that) and the avatar costumes are ace. New monsters to catch!

It is very very similar to Pogo but has more features - quests and individual battles. I'm enjoying it. And I have a pokestop thingy in my back garden, yay!

BouleBaker · 28/10/2017 21:55

That draconiumnis interesting. It is very similar.

You’ve probably all had this question before but where are you finding those IV stats?

WhatToDoAboutThis2017 · 28/10/2017 21:59

BouleBaker The majority of us use PokeGenie Smile

You download the app, input your trainer level, add screenshot of Pokemon and include its appraisal, and it gives you the IVs for that Pokemon.

PokeGenie is one of the best because it doesn't violate Pokemon Go's T&C's, so no chance of being banned for using it Smile

PickAChew · 28/10/2017 22:40

Noticed that the additional spawn points were activated, yesterday. Back to being able to catch 5 or 6 pokies an hour from our front room rather than the usual 2 or 3.

eyebrowsonfleek · 28/10/2017 23:54

I went raiding today and learned that there’s more Halloween types around at night (duh! Why didn’t I think of that?) and caught a shiny Duskull. (Apparently 1 in 256 are shiny) This was my first shiny so am very happy 😃

DoctorTwo · 29/10/2017 04:53

I just had my 1st catch of the day and Shuppet was rated 100% by Pokegenie. That's my 1st wild caught 100% 'Mon, my only other 100%er being the Croconaw (now Feraligatr) caught after a raid.

Our local group has an event today, there's about a dozen of us going and I'm really looking forward to it.
