PokemonGo It's not about the number of raids you've done altogether, it's about whether you've raided at the particular gym they've chosen recently (within a certain time period).

So you could only ever have done one raid, but if it was a raid at the gym they've chosen for Mewtwo in their chosen time period, you would get an Ex Raid Pass.

The more raids you do at many different gyms, the more chance you have of getting an Ex Raid Pass.

Hatches and catches today were utter bobbins other than Mareep, and catching Croconaw after a raid. Croconaw has 100% IV and will be Feraligatr, possibly tomorrow.

Mega-Pokemoning today. With ups and downs. Got my Ampharos, hatched a Togepi and an Oddish. Went around loads of gyms, managed to get into 7 different ones. Was knocked out of every single one within hours and didn't get a single coin because my Gyarados which had been in my local gym for a couple of days was knocked out first thing this morning. Only made one raid, a Cyndaquil but might as well do them when I'm near in the hope of an ex raid later.

Yep; 12-1. So you can do the raid at any time between that hour as many times as you like (until you catch it).

Our group is splitting into two (because we have well more than 20 of us) and doing two separate times during that hour; one near the beginning and one nearer the end.

However, you need the biggest group possible that you can get (max of 20); Mewtwo will be hard to take down!

I’m not sure how many we will be. There is an event set up on Facebook for it and at the moment that’s at 13 going. Not all our regular raiders got passes for it. Do you think we can do it more than once if we beat it but don’t catch it? Are the raids different to normal legendary raids?

No, they're the same.

If you beat it but don't catch it, that's it. You don't get another chance at that particular raid.

It would be too easy then! Mewtwo is an exceptionally rare Pokemon and they'll want it to stay coveted.
