Well I got back from Perth in Australia in 2 hours over 2 months ago.

I looked into train tickets to get to London which would be the closest one to me and it's extortionate 😔 I am, however, fully debating driving to the outskirts one day considering my car is dirt cheap to fill and seeing if I can find somewhere to park! As apparently they're popping up in the outskirts too if I've read that right? Just about to go Zapdos raiding with both DP and DS for a couple of hours - wish us luck!

Also one of the people in our group had a second spoofing account which I judged but quietly so because it helped in some raids no one else showed up to shameless self interest. He had got away with it for AGES (set it up to run automatically pretty much from the word go) and was only actively using it for legendary raids. But he got caught last week and had all but 5 of the Pokémon (and there were HUNDREDS) struck out so I really don't think it's worth it. They'll catch you in a ban wave sooner or later.

NikiBabe Like I said, it will probably be months and months before you get caught (there are a lot of players after all, and far too many willing to cheat), but it will happen.

Who knows but with that many players I cant believe they have time to retrospectively audit that many accounts.

They'll have an entire team of people dedicated to catching cheaters; that's how they get round to everyone eventually.

General consensus seems to be that no, they won't be slashed unless it's a botted account

Niki- I like to play it safe and calculating all the time differences is complicated.

I really don't think that they will automatically slash all Pokémon caught in Regional Hunters. Lots of people have more than one phone. (Work and private) No reason why someone might go on holiday to Florida and catch Corsola etc there while their work phone stays in the U.K. and is answered by the person covering their leave. You can ask people to catch them in person rather than spoof. While they may be able to tell if a catch was in person or by spoofing, they probably can't tell if it is the account holder or MrsHelpful's finger who got the ball.

I really don't think that Niantic have a big team dealing with spoofers. Every 4 and 5 star raid Ive been to has included people not playing in person (spoofers) and every hardcore player will recognize the names of spoofers who are in their local gyms.

It's easy to find people selling PoGo accounts on eBay. If Niantic cared about fraud, that would be an easy place to start.

I got my cousin in Australia to catch me a kanga and went back in after about 3 hours. I havent had a problem in almost 3 months.

I also have a friend in NYC and my Tauros is months and months old. I cant remember how long I stayed out for.

Im not bothered about anything else as it looks as though the regionals will all have events here anyway.

Got my first zapdos on the second attempt and evolved my second Ampharos (first decent iv one) today so I'm happy :)

There is a team dedicated to cheating/fraud; all big games have them. You haven't got caught yet, but it's only a matter of time.

I'm a bit confused (as usual) I get the fast train into London some days so is it going to think I spoofed? How do they know the travel time? E.g. you could fly across the UK in theory.

Good news on them appearing elsewhere. Seems daft to have them only in certain cities.

Caught Kanga today and saw a couple of unown shadows but couldn't get to those stops - was already on the train!

They take into account all forms of travel, so they won't think you cheated because you used the fast train. They can tell by the GPS.

I turn my phone off when I'm on the train to conserve battery so GPS wouldn't work.
I was referring to the post on the other page by the way about people elsewhere in the UK getting someone else to log in. I can't see how'd they'd tell you hadn't flown over for a meeting then back?

Anyway Kanga has just appeared here so perhaps the event has now spread out!

AbbeyRoadCrossing If you leave the appropriate travel time, it won't be able to tell.

If you give someone else your log in info, as long as you give it the appropriate amount of time for you to have been able to get there, they won't think you cheated.

If you give someone your log in details in London, they log in, then half an hour later you do, it will flag it up because you can't have travelled that far in that time.

Thanks doctor, I go through phases of being addicted to mn then taking a break. DS and I share the account as he's been pokemon obsessed for years, I reckon I've caught 90% of the pokemon but I've only just started battling gyms. We're only level 26 at the mo, there's an active community round here for raids but some of them are super elitist and think you're not worthy if you're below L30!
