Yeah, I know I'm scraping the barrel now... :o But at least you get an earworm.

Still just keeping up the streaks, but yesterday I HATCHED A SNORLAX. That's No2, and I have 40 Snorlax candy.

I get it re grinding up Pikachus, it just feels wrong. I do it though, 'cos I'm heartless. Wink

We're popping up to London on Wednesday, so we're lucky.

I am annoyed about the city thing as city players have it so good anyway, multiple pokestops, lots of players etc.

Cost us £27 but I have a railcard and will travel off peak.

WhatToDoAboutThis2017 · 07/08/2017 21:07

Soubriquet £54 for one person? That sucks. It cost just under £40 return for DH and I so that wasn't too bad.

Ruhrpott · 07/08/2017 21:27

This appeared at my desk today.

Ruhrpott · 07/08/2017 21:46

I definitely have an advantage in working in a city on the list

cottonwool125 · 07/08/2017 22:24

Soubriquet there's no way I'm getting to a city either! Sad I'm in Norfolk, so nearest would be Birmingham or London, but I wouldn't want to travel there with DS without another adult! So will be a no go for me too.

WhatToDoAboutThis2017 · 07/08/2017 22:38

It's a shame for those of you that can't get to cities Sad

PickAChew · 07/08/2017 23:07

It's not just cities though, is it? I can pass through 3 cities (admittedly, one of them extremely small) in a day's bus riding with DS1 (I did on Saturday and threw in a few towns, while we were at it). It's a very few, very specific cities.

PickAChew · 07/08/2017 23:09

And that extremely small city has had a few unown sightings, in the past. Never when I'm actually in it, mind!

Natsku · 08/08/2017 05:28

Yeah only one city in my country and that's half a day away on the train (what with changing trains and all)

DD starts school tomorrow so I'm going to walk her for the first week until she knows her way and that walk conveniently goes past the graveyard where there's a gym so I'm hoping to get my first gold gym badge this week.

DoctorTwo · 08/08/2017 05:54

Yesterday I got out of work early, went to change my address with my bank and went for a wander around the town I was in. Up ahead there was a group of people staring intently at their phones, so I dismissed my usual shyness and asked if they were on a raid. They were, it was Lugia and they failed to take it down. They stuck around to have another go and invited me to join them. I did so, and there were 10 of us. We reckoned that we needed an extra 10 seconds as it timed out.

We were obviously disappointed, and I would have stayed for another battle but the others had tried multiple times to take it down and had run out of revives and potions and called it a day. It was my first, and possibly only, legendary raid and I bloody loved it.

Yes! I got my Zapdos! And it's 90% IVs too so an excellent one! Grin

Icouldbeknitting · 08/08/2017 11:26

We've been out with umbrellas this morning for Zapdos. I caught, my son caught and I think a third person caught out of a party of nine. The game was very glitchy though, three of us were thrown out before the end of the battle and someone else froze during the bonus stage.

WhatToDoAboutThis2017 · 08/08/2017 11:36

I now have a second Zapdos, second Tyrannitar and a third (91% IV) Lapras!

Successful day so far Grin

Natsku · 08/08/2017 11:43

Saw a zapdos raid on my way to work but no one around. I really want a zapdos :(

NikiBabe · 08/08/2017 12:11

Can anyone get someone to log into their pokemon in a city where there are unown and kanga?

It would seem like yhe only option to have someone else do it

Soubriquet · 08/08/2017 12:30

If I knew someone in a city I would do that without a second pause

NikiBabe · 08/08/2017 12:49

Soubriquet they are everywhere where I am.

I could do it. The question is i dont know how easy it is to do or if there is any risk.

Soubriquet · 08/08/2017 12:56

I'm on the regional po-go Hunter group on fb.

They do them in other countries and they seem to have discovered being logged out for 2 hours works if the owner than waits another 2 hours once Pokémon has been got. If that makes sense?

NikiBabe · 08/08/2017 12:58

Ok do you want me to have a go or do you want them to do it?

eyebrowsonfleek · 08/08/2017 13:01

You can get people in other locations to log onto your account. You have to remember not to log in for the time that they are hunting and to take into account travel time there and back.

So if you live an hour from London and have someone hunt for 2 hours, you wouldn't be able to log in for 4-5 hours minimum.

NikiBabe · 08/08/2017 13:02

Thats not true eyebrows.

My friend in new york city caught me a taurous. I logged back on after 2 hours with no issues.

NikiBabe · 08/08/2017 13:03

But i dont know if in the same country logging straight back in is ok

RueDeWakening · 08/08/2017 13:04

I am in the Pokemon wilderness Sad the closest pokestop is about 8 miles away, gym more like 20.

Niantic better offer them again...please?

Soubriquet · 08/08/2017 13:06

If you don't mind Niki id be happy for you to try.

I've just logged out now so if I send you my details via PM we should be able to say any time from 3

WhatToDoAboutThis2017 · 08/08/2017 13:32

eyebrowsonfleek is right. You do need to take in the travel time or they will flag it up. Not straight away, maybe not for a few weeks, but they will and those Pokemon caught will become slashed.
