Still just keeping up the streaks, but yesterday I HATCHED A SNORLAX. That's No2, and I have 40 Snorlax candy.

I get it re grinding up Pikachus, it just feels wrong. I do it though, 'cos I'm heartless.

My iPhone 5s is so slow and glitchy

Yeah, the iPhone 5s is a really bad phone to play Pokemon Go on so if you're more than just a casual player it would be an idea to get a better phone to avoid issues.

Especially since so much more will be introduced in the game (PVP, trading, Gen 3).

Oh and the other thing is I drove across town today to feed one of my Pokemon in a gym only to find that there was a raid on so I couldn't access him!

What's todo I know I have been considering getting a new phone. Any suggestions as to what is good? Def can't afford an iPhone 7, and not even sure I want another iPhone. Only thing is that pokemongo buggered up the battery on my iPhone so a bit reluctant to buy a new phone only to wreck it playing pokemongo!

I have a Samsung Galaxy S7 I've only ever played pokemon on this phone so nothing to compare it to but I find it absolutely fine.

When a gym has an egg over it, that means a raid will take place after the time has gone down.

A pink egg means Level 1, 2 or 3. Level 1 can definitely be soloed and possibly Level 2 if you have good Pokemon with good movesets.

A gold egg means a Level 4 raid - so rare, good Pokemon like Tyrannitar or Snorlax. You need about 6-9 people for those.

A legendary raid just has the legendary flying atop the gym. It is Level 5 and needs 10-12 people at least to defeat it.

The number of "heads" the raid has is its Level; the higher the level the harder it is to beat.

Hatched a lovely Mareep from a 10km (3.3km at the moment) egg. Bought a lovely 62 candies with it!

There were 13 of us and only 3 of us got it. Can't believe my luck!

It's double ice, but I'm going to reroll the charge move to try to get Blizzard as that will be the best moveset for it.

I also have 51 Rare Candies so will be using some to power this baby up So glad I saved my rare candies for legendaries!

You'll want to wait and save your best Mareep to evolve to Ampharos (as tempting as it is to get a Flaaffy!) as they're the best electric in the game currently

WhatToDo It's the first Mareep I've ever hatched so still a way off unfortunately. Appraisal is good but I definitely want to wait until I hatch another and see if it's any better.

Once I've finished walking all of my odds and sods for their last few candies, and finally got my Gyarados, it'll probably be the next 'mon I walk. Unless I've hatched another by then, fingers crossed. It would
be between Mareep, Larvitar and Dratini, but to be honest, Dragonite doesn't really appeal to me I know it's a great Pokemon but I much prefer Tyranitar and Ampharos!

GavelRavel You have to spend your raid pass to get into trh lobby to see how many people are doing it.

Usually just take a look around the gym; you can't be too far from it or it won't let you battle. If there's no one around and it's Level 3+, don't waste your raid pass!

You get golden raspberrys, fast and charge TMs and rare candies from raids.

We organised our raid through a facebook group and you can count how many are in the raid before it starts on the screen where you select your pokemon.

I sometimes do a raid on my own if it's a 1 star raid but I wouldn't waste it otherwise.

I hatched a mareep the other day and got 64 candies and with the event still on I have 75!

Well, I'm totally fed up today. I tried again, twice, with legendary raids and no-one ever comes. There's only one WhatsApp group that I have found but I covers a massive area and no-one comes to my little town.

I'm happy for you all who have got legendaries though! Well done.

We have a WhatsApp group for our town so we know how many people can make a raid before we go out and do it. Also handy to be alerted of raids the other end of town.

We organize via FB here. People travel from other areas so that they can drive from raid to raid. There's also evening/weekend meets that end at 1am.

Families tend to be very welcomed as there's often mum, dad and children playing in phones which dramatically ups the raid participant numbers.

We only have one child in our group of 40; the rest are mostly my age (late twenties, early thirties).

Most raids are in walking distance but a couple of people have cars so can take you to the other end of town quickly.

Anyone know the new end date for the event?
