Yeah, I know I'm scraping the barrel now... :o But at least you get an earworm.

Still just keeping up the streaks, but yesterday I HATCHED A SNORLAX. That's No2, and I have 40 Snorlax candy.

I get it re grinding up Pikachus, it just feels wrong. I do it though, 'cos I'm heartless. Wink

Thanks cottonwool125! I was only on about 60 candies and thought it would take forever as Mareep is so rare, but I was very lucky!

I'm very rural first 2 weeks of August, so not sure if I'll manage Moltres and zapdos. 😧 Why are they doing it school holidays?

I hatched a Larvitar yesterday, it brought 38 candy with it so I now have 170! More than enough to power up my best one (of 4) and do a double evolve.

Also, my last catch yesterday (my 2nd Totodile) took me to Level 32, so I'm only 10 behind Mark King and friends.

Haven't got a chance of getting any of them, just not enough players round here and they're gone before I get a chance to go to the city where I might have had some luck.

Yup. Oh well, I still need quite a few to finish gen 1 so I'm just trying to focus on that and forget about the legendaries.

Natsku - same here. I have seen 2 leg raids here, and I have been the only player for both, despite being in a WhatsApp group for the local area.

I walked past a massive group of people outside a legendary raid yesterday- probably 25/30 people. I almost went and joined in, but I got the fear and didn't Sad

I would like a legendary, but as I only got into Pokemon when PoGo came out and never watched it as a child, I suppose it doesn't feel AS important to me to have one as it does to others. I only learnt their names and what they look like a week ago!

I would like one, but not enough to go up to a group of strangers and ask to join in unfortunately. Hopefully I'll get over my shyness as time goes on and everyone's getting Pokemon I don't have Grin

I'm a rural player and so far I've been to five legendary raids in the village and there's been only me there. This was not a surprise as I have yet to see a player that is not my son. There are three Facebook groups that could cover where I live, we're on the fringes of all of them.

Yesterday I went into town and was first to the Articuno with 1.57 remaining. I made my first ever post to the Facebook group that I lurk on and went to get a coffee. When I came back there was an obvious raid party assembling so I asked to be included and sat and drank my coffee. We set off with 20 players, I was the oldest one there by at least ten years (there was only one bloke there who was too old to be my son and one who could have been my grandchild). No-one asked me what level I was or what Pokemon I had, it was all good. There were a lot of L36 players who carried it, I had two beasts knocked out and was on my third when the raid finished.

After we'd split up and wandered off so Raid Party 2 could have the space a group of three lads came up to me and said they were off to another legendary raid and would I like to come with them? For anyone who is a bit wobbly about joining in - "Are you here for the raid?" is all you need to say.

Cottonwool I'm quite shy so have avoided the higher level raids up until now for exactly that reason but we have a local Pokémon go Facebook group and someone set up a group message via that that you can request to be added to and local players organise group raids on it. I really wanted a legendary so I bit the bullet and it's honestly been fine! You just rock up, say hello, do the battle and then there's normally a quick chat afterwards about whether you caught it etc and then you go off on your way! Might be worth seeing if there's one for your local area too!

I'm desperately waiting for a stronger IV magikarp so I can finally get my gyrados! I have 637 candies but my highest IV is a B so there's no point, I am gutted at how long it's taking!

Also - for anyone disappointed at not getting a legendary:

The Lugia I got I've powered up a couple of times so is relatively strong and useful though nowhere near my strongest or best but both articunos I caught were only around the 1600 mark! I expected them to be super strong but that hasn't been the case at all and I don't think I'd have been as bothered had I of known.

Very wet here today. Both dc are at home with me after a couple of days at holiday club. We thought about going raiding, but I don't really fancy dragging them about in a downpour and they're not showing any signs of wanting to get out of pyjamas...

Meanwhile I'm "walking" thanks to GPS drift - 1.3 km since bathtime last night! I'm all out of red and blue balls and resisting the temptation to use ultras on random Sentret and Paras spawns within reach of home. And Murcrow. Does anyone else irrationally dislike Murcrow?

I dislike Murkrow. Dd1 hates Murkrow. It's not irrational, they are hard to catch.

Whenever there is an xp event I tell dd1 she can catch everything she sees and she does, but she always leaves Murkrows Grin She writes stories about Pokémon school (don't ask) and Murkrow is always the baddie.

We caught about a million of them to get our dark badge back when gen 2 was first released, but they are dead to us now Grin I'll evolve one in gen 4 and then I'm done with Murkrows forever.

On the other hand, I can never pass up on an Oddish, or a Poliwag. DD1 can't pass up a Krabby. I caught her using ultra balls on one once.

Murkrow annoys me too. Common, hard to catch, won't be evolved in a hurry.

Had a wasted raid. Rain got into my phone and made it glitchy. Only a Magmar but still annoying, and wet!

I need more balls!

I am still plodding after the dark badge so Murkrow is on my must-catch list. Top of my list at the moment is Pidgey and Weedle as I still have a ton of candy left but nothing to evolve.

It's raining really hard so unless they come to me the candy will keep until another event.

I tried a articuno raid with two two random guys the other day. Obviously we didn't have a hope but it was worth a try to see if any one else turned up. It's times like that you wish the spoofers would turn up 😁.

I'm not optimistic I'll get any of the legendaries.

I have decided that I don't like these high level raids! I much prefer playing Pokemon on my own. First raid approx 15 of us defeated him but I couldn't catch him (not helped by rain on screen). Second raid I joined in town some guy decided to set up private groups. But then he kept stopping the battle so new people could join. My iPhone 5s is so slow and glitchy that I then couldn't get back in to the right group with all the other players. I can't decide how much I want a legendary?! I could go in to town to join groups today but am a bit reluctant knowing that i still might not get one.
