I get it re grinding up Pikachus, it just feels wrong. I do it though, 'cos I'm heartless.

I did a legendary raid and saw other raiders for the first time. It was lunchtime in central London and if was all men in suits! I defeated the Articuno but couldn't catch it. Meh. There was another one at the gym just outside my office but I was stuck at work.

Yeah, it's only a 2% base catch rate so don't feel too bad! One poor guy in our group has done 15 legendary raids and not caught a single legendary.

Oh no! 15 raids but no legendary. To be honest the catch rate is putting me off having another go. And very annoyingly someone has just knocked me out of a gym at 23.55. How rude! Why couldn't they have waited until after midnight. That's my fifth Pokemon come home today - pointless!

No, don't let it put you off! The bonuses you get are worth it alone, regardless of whether you catch it or not.

13,000 XP, rare candies, fast and charge TMs, golden razzberries. It's all worth it!

Also, take a look at this handy chart about catching legendaries.

The golden razzberries make a huge difference! As does the type of shot you get (nice, great, excellent), and your Pokemon bonus badges.

The biggest difference is curve vs straight balls though.

(Note: even though curveballs dramatically increase your chance of a legendary catch, if you can't do them properly the advice is to stick with a straight ball rather than attempt a curveball as you'll have more success that way.)

The catch rate has been changed to 3% according to Reddit. That rate assumes no Berry and a throw that's not nice/excellent.

Omg yes! I did three raids this morning, caught a Tyrannitar (didn't have one of those!), a second Articuno and a Lugia!!!

So now I have both released Legendaries!!!
