Despite only really playing at the weekend due to working I'm now 180k through Level 31. Today I cheated somewhat. The M25 was stationary, so I opened the app and left it on. I had 8 eggs cooking and between junctions 18 and 22 managed to hatch 7 of them. Mantine, 2x Exegcute, Krabby, Eevee, Togepi and Magby.

Congrats Abbey on reaching Level 30, and commiserations Spammy on not being able to log in.

I'm feeding my rare candies to larvitar and switched my buddy to mankey, I'm going to try and fill up my pokedex for a bit. I've no medal for fighting types or dragon types, I need a fighting-dragon-electric-steel-chansey event please :)

Do battle winners not get priority anymore?

Battle winners have priority for at least a minute.

If it was someone on your own team, there is a glitch where if they put a Pokemon in, you have to wait a few minutes before you can put yours in as it says "still. Styling".

If it was a different team, you took too long picking your Pokemon that your priority wore off.

Raspberryberet local Facebook groups are full of people arranging to meet for raids. The most popular seems to be Tyrannitor so your son should head for one of those.

I'm travelling around to some remote areas at the moment and am managing to find plenty of friendly gyms with spaces and planty of enemy gyms that are super easy to defeat - I've even been finding some empty gyms.......

so my problem isn't getting pokemon INTO gyms it's been getting them to come home with their lovely pokecoins. 😂. I'm not even putting particularly strong mon in the gyms.

My snorlax has been in for 6 days. The others in the gym have been in for 9. Is this a record? 😂
I have only done one raid, really want to do a tyranitar, but sadly have the usual work and kids messing things up for me!

I joined the local Facebook group, I got together with a couple of young men (!) and took over all our local gyms. They were really nice, didn't judge me as being a sad middle-aged mum and we just talked about Pokémon. It was good!

My son has returned to the game which is good. The new gym structure gives him a chance of getting in gyms even though at L16 he is the lowest level around. He's done a few raids with me and caught the bosses so he's using those to battle in gyms. He's gone from not being able to do anything in gyms to be able to battle and to raid alone. L17 today, L18 by the weekend.

I was ticked off to see that someone had battled the local gym just enough to turn out one Pokemon, then a new L33 player had put their beast in the sixth spot. Co-incidence or someone with a second account? It's a second account isn't it? It will be there a week unless they come back and use the other account to release it, there's very little foot traffic there and I'm going to be feeding it every day.

I live in a remote area and I had pokemons in two gyms for 11 days 16 hours now. One of them is down to 505 motivation. Motivation hasn't gone down any further since it reached that about 3 days ago.
There is one gym where I have reliable 4G which is at a marina+pub+hotel and that gym changes a bit more frequently. I popped one in there this morning and see how long it lasts. I hope I might get a few coins there eventually.

Info regarding raids please!

There's a level 3 raid starting down the road from me in a little while. I'd like to go and see what it is and maybe have a go- however I know level 3 is quite hard to do on your own.

My question is, if I had an attempt but failed, can I then have another go? And if so is it then easier, like it is when you take a gym down a level, to then bring it down further?

It has been discovered that some players have soloed a evel 3 raid, but you'd need the perfect Pokémon and you'd need to be a high level trainer.

You can attempt to battle the raid boss for the entire hour but it doesn't get smaller. If you almost have it the first time it might be worth trying again, but a 3 star raid is very very hard to solo.

Psammead thought that might be the case I am only level 24 so far from having perfect or particularly high level Pokemon. Will probably give it a miss rather than waste potions and revives!

My DS has soloed a level 3 gym raid with Geengar boss and won the gym.

And he said he had almost soloed and won against a Machamp gym but the software was lagging and he couldn't complete the win!

No, it doesn't bring it down further! So if there aren't about three or four of you don't even attempt it as it'll be a waste of a raid pass.

You can have multiple attempts with the one pass but it doesn't get any easier. It does mean that you could have a different choice of beasts.

We found this out just now when my timer counted down to -7 but I didn't start the raid. I had to restart the game (leaving my son to get on with it) and I "started" with 73 seconds on the clock. We failed.

I'm a bit disappointed that there's no news on the anniversary event yet! It's tomorrow! I know they like to keep their cards close to their chest, but this is a new level.

Cheated a bit yesterday

A Gengar raid popped up by work, I need Gengar for the dex, and I'm reeeally limited on time and freedom for raids, so I really wanted him but couldn't take a level three alone. No one there. But I had DD's phone on me as well as mine, so I logged us both in and tapped away furiously on both phones at the same and we both got him

The other day I went for a Magmar near Tesco and there were six of us , a very friendly mother-and-grown-up-son team, and a group of three men in their twenties. That was pretty cool. It was immediately obvious why we were there, as there was no other reason to be round the back of Tesco!

Have tried for Muk a couple of times, first one I couldn't catch him, then today I kept erroring out and had to go to work, grrr.

Wish I could find a level 4 that I could attempt, but you'd have to get there right at the beginning to have any chance of there being enough people to play with. I need Venusaur, and wouldn't say no to another Tyranitar. I can't see any gyms at home, and when I'm out I usually have to be somewhere, so it's just relying on luck.

Hope they do an event for the one year anniversary, think it's tomorrow?

It would be cool if we all got birthday presents - a couple of rare candies or something.

Ooh there's an update!

Can't notice a difference just yet but they've probably just set the seeds for whatever's coming.
