Pokemon Go #6: Where pokemon babies are abandoned in gyms at freezing temperatures

Well, saw this little one left overnight in a gym. Sad, really... Where are his parents? What were they thinking? Do they work night shifts too?

My first Lickitung today My 3 yo was impressed!

There's a Chansey in my nearby but of course right now we're in the middle of a freaking blizzard and I can't even see the end of my driveway, never mind actually go outside and try to walk down it. Figures it would hit the moment the special event kicks in. Mother Nature is a cynical bastard.

Did someone say Smoochums are catchable now, not just hatching?!

I am loving all these lickitungs everywhere. Love those fat fuckers. We also caught a tiny chansey! I have only ever hatched one, so that was very exciting!

I have a 10km egg cooking, I hope it's a good one.

I've had an AMAZING Pokemon day!! But no real life friends who still play to be excited for me, except my wifey, so can you lot be excited please?! I hatched a 1900 cp (now powered up to 2298!) SNORLAX, yayyyyyy!!!

Also caught a Lickitung (which is super rude ), a wild Lapras, and a Porygon for the first time!

AND to boot evolved my evolved my Clefary to a Clefable, and my Gloom into a Vileplum.

YAYYYYYYY!

Not a sniff of a Chancey yet however. Which is all I need from this event now.

(Spending the rest of the week stocking up on as many pidgeys as possible- gonna do the most epic transferring session EVER when this event ends with lucky eggs! Half way through level 26!)

Ahhh, I was thinking lucky egg during the event would be mega, but it's not going to affect the XP is it? More ryhorns too? I got 4 today. Is it because they are horny?

cooroo lickitungs can be quite fun to fight with in a gym, they do a big lick! I like using different ones sometimes to see how they fight. Hitmonchan is another fun one she punches holes in the opponent.

merylperyl I just played on wifi when we went to the US. (Wasn't going to pay £5 a day to roam). Universal stufios (LAX) was good, I caught loads there so imagine Disney will be the same. Hotels all had wifi so managed to get a Tauros at one. Most frustrating time was when walking out and about as couldn't catch stuff then. The other good thing was the variety of Pokemon was different. Lots of ekans, sandshrews, rhinos, meowths and growlithes which made a nice change.

Should change his name to Child Catcher.

I saw a shadow of a Chansey yesterday but didn't have time to track it down. Those damned time sensitive deliveries! I'm now only 2 candy shy of Alakazam, hopefully I'll get those today...

One thing I have noticed since the update is that when I tap my avatar the game freezes and I have to reload, so I don't know exactly how far through Level 26 I am. On Wednesday I was 158K/200, so I'm guessing I'm around 162k/200.

Ah, that's a pity wheezles I'll have to try to get more eggs then. I'm getting very few at the moment.
I haven't ever seen a chancey in the wild, hatched three but never seen one, even now during this event. I hope I get to catch one before the end of the event.

Ah duh, I didn't realise I had to hatch a Chansey! Odds are not in my favour cos I hardly ever get eggs these days.

I don't think you have to hatch one, it's just that I have never ever seen one in the wild, other posters here have caught Chanseys. I also have never seen, or hatched, an aerodactyl, and only hatched one Lapras, never seen one in the wild.

Chancey, clefairy and jigglypuff are everywhere around here since this Valentine's Day event has happened

Likitung has appeared a couple of times but not at a time where I can go hunting.

I just caught my fourth Porygon of the day, all while sitting at my desk. I might stop walking it now, I have 65 candies now. Does anybody know how many will be needed for its evolution once Gen 2 comes out?

I've had the freezing avatar problem too. Still being spoofed in the local gyms.

I'm enjoying the double candy and the 0.5k buddy candy for my Magikarp. On 375... Gyrados is beginning to feel achievable at long last!

No sign of Chansey here. I have two already from eggs a long time ago, but more candy would be welcome. Although their CP isn't impressive, they have Snorlax-esque HP and make great gym defenders. Also good for the training at half CP approach.

I'm in London and making occasional use of the new map. The most fun is that when I get enough candy to evolve something to fill a gap in my Pokedex I take the relevant beast off my filter because I'm not longer looking for them. It adds a sense of progress.

Finally got my Gyrados, Kabutops, Dugtrio and Golem through sheer bloody mindedness - just Alakazam, Omastar, Exeggutor, Vileplume and Dragonite to go. The first four are now within walking distance but I'm going to have to get lucky with hatches or sprint all over the London map to get Dragonite before the summer.

Only 40 candy to go until I can get my Gyrados

I had a pretty good day Pokemon wise. I saw my first Chansey ever, in the wild and caught it second ball. I also caught 14 Slowpokes, a wild Slowbro, 3 Jigglypuffs, a Clefairy and 4 Magikarp, the most Flappies I've caught in one day. I'm now up to 342 candy.

Hatches were Oddish, Cleffa (new to my 'dex), and Bulbasaur. I now have 109 Abra candy and can power up my already awesome Kadabra. I'm now up to 130 on the Pokedex with 3 to evolve that will add to it. I might bite the bullet and buy additional storage for items and Pokemon, along with a few Lucky Eggs for mass evolve sessions and some incubators to get more hatches.

Now I'd love some 10k eggs.

Can we have some honesty regarding how much actual MONEY we're all spending on the game?

I've had to disable in-app purchases after I realised I spend between £20-40 a month! Eeeeeek! I only ever buy balls- I literally only hit a max of 10 pokestops a day, ever, I don't live or work or travel near one, so I never have balls.

I don't spend any money on it

None except that a couple of months I ran out of data so had to buy extra

I caught a Chancy a few months ago and a Lickitung a few days ago but they don't feel so special now! Still need Porygon though.

I haven't ever spent £ (and get very few gym coins - very few gyms nearby and none stay yellow). I nearly did a couple of times for incubators and storage, but somehow my ITunes family account needs to be authorised by my husband (we can't figure out how to fix it ) so I hesitated and changed my mind.

Only level 26 and am missing a lot of Pokemon though.

I only spend Google credit, which has, so far, amounted to a grand total of £20.

The only thing I consider to be good vfm in terms of progress through the game is lucky eggs, though I have increased Pokémon storage to 400, so I can better take advantage of them.

And, of course, there's the£1.50-£2 a month it was costing in phone credit, but I've moved to a cheap contact, now.

I was allowing myself once a month to buy the £3.99 or (£7.99 a couple of times!package of coins) (it's now more) to buy lucky eggs and incubators.

I've recently been getting a steady daily inflow of coins from gyms so haven't spent anything since the Christmas event where I bought the lowest special box they did.
