Pokemon Go #6: Where pokemon babies are abandoned in gyms at freezing temperatures

Well, saw this little one left overnight in a gym. Sad, really... Where are his parents? What were they thinking? Do they work night shifts too?

Whey hey! I finally got an Aerodactyl from a 10k egg today.

So now it's down to only one more needed for the Gen 1 Eurodex I'm incubating 5k eggs like mad in the hope of a Tangela. I also, by some fluke, got two more 10k eggs, so I'm incubating both those in the hope of a Magby to complete the babies set. Thank goodness for those incubators from levelling to 30. I'm still walking Togepi and am now up to 42 candies, so I'm catching and stashing ready for a lucky egg session when I'm ready to evolve it.

I was in the centre of London but didn't catch anything new as I was busy marching in the demo! I did get some snorlax candy from my buddy so not all bad!

I got a 10k egg today after weeks of nothing but crappy 5k ones. Knowing my luck, it'll pop out another fucking electabuzz.

FrogTime I just hatched my fourth Pinsir from five 10k eggs I have had recently. I have got to start hitting some new stops!

Not much to report here except in enjoying the go plus' ease of you at the daily pidgey and rat grind 🙄 I did a lucky egg sesh on Friday absolutely sure I was about to level up to 31 but must of miscalculated as here I am still at the tail end of 30.

Walking my dratini which is ridiculous as I only have 11 candies and hatching every 5k egg in search of that damn Togepi! And haven't seen a 10k egg in yonks so my chance of that damn hitmonchan is even less!

CantstandmLMs, I started on 22 Tokepi candy and have now walked it up to 43, and you've got more chance of catching the odd Dratini to help than I have Tokepi, so you'll get there. :-)

The good news is I'm in 3 gyms in the main town where I work and have been most of the week. Not once have I ever got to Sunday and been in more than 1! Less people playing but that makes sense.

Lapras is in my house. Thrown all my remaining balls at him and now have none left. Lapras is still sat there. Goady fucker.

I've got one lame dratini from months ago. I'm in no rush to make him a buddy as his CP is pretty poor.

I'm hoping I've got some better eggs at the moment as I've been to some different pokestops this week. I've got no idea which ones are hatching. I've had 3 2ks recently that were just blooming spearows- I tend to be reluctant to catch wild ones. My 5ks have been common ones like Oddish and Shellder which are easy enough to collect anyway.

I'm still plodding on with my Magikarp (346). Recently did a mass evolution on a lucky egg, so I've passed the halfway mark of L27, so really its just grinding on the Magikarp and rebuilding candy stocks.

I spent last week walking around a lake every day as it is (at the moment) spawning Jigglypuffs. Hopefully I'll have got my gold fairy badge before the spawns move again. I started the week on 115/200 and I'm now on 185/200. I'm now only throwing balls at things that will count towards a badge which means types that are rare for me. This means that I'm not having to farm Pokestops any more. I haven't worked out how many more weeks I have left to walk the only Grimer I've ever seen - my theory that as soon as I had one I'd start tripping over them was total tripe.

Today I had to go to Hitchin (somebody could probably write a saucy Limerick about the town. Not me though) to put my timeshit through the agency's letterbox, so I parked at the Walsworth Road car park, opened the app and checked nearby sightings. There was just the usual vermin, so I closed that and looked round for Pokestops. It turns out there are 2 in the car park. I went to the nearest, Woodside Hall (home to the Hitchin Thespians) and up popped a Nidorino with 588CP. Got him first ball with a Great Throw and Curveball, so 660XP. Get in! I span the Stop and walked toward the next one at Queen Mother's Theatre. Well, fuck my old boots, a wild Aerodactyl. I fed it a Razz Berry and chucked an Ultra Ball at it with no expectation. A direct hit! Aerodactyl was caught! My first wild one, only my second overall, my first being from an egg in September.

Hatches today were Spearow (boo!), Eevee (hiss!) and Magikarp (hurrah!). Only 99 candy to Gyarados.

I had just put the kids into bed tonight and opened up the app before I started doing the 11 million things we have to do for Mondays. Up popped a SHADOW on sightings. This is truly rare - I'm rural and there are no nests, only random vermin.

Raced off (in the car, to DH's amusement, as the stops are nearly 10 mins walk away) and as soon as I pulled up there was a giant gross Lickitung that I grabbed with a razzberry and one ultraball.

Something NEW! And I walked Diglet to 50 candy today so I can evolve when I get enough vermin to use that lucky egg I failed to activate last week.

Still need Golem, Snorlax, Lapras, Muk, Hitmonchan, Exeggutor, Rhydon, Gyrados, Dragonair, Dragonite, Kabutops, the babies, and a few more I haven't even seen! I do however have nine Tauros from my trip though. I'm going to China in August so will probably try for Farfetched even if I'm not really playing any more!

Hi, I dd started playing last month and I am she is a bit addicted.

We're on level 17, which I feel might be a bit of a sweet spot - starting to catch some nice pokemon - I caught a Lapras in the toilets at work last week - but still it's easy to find a lot of new types and new evolves. I can see that it might become a bit of a grind when you've caught most things.

Haven't tried to fight in a hostile gym yet, but put my Jolteon in a friendly gym today and got my coins.

It's definitely got me walking :)

Am I the only one who thinks that discharge is a nasty name for an attack? I cringe every time I see it.

We took up a level 7 gym up to a level 8 today- it has 7 snorlaxes! It also has someone who clearly has 2 accounts- why don't spoofers at least use different names? I wonder whether I should report the person even though they are on my own team? And level 38! They must play day and night!

I managed to level up to level 31, yesterday, after my mega kabuto hunt. A slight surprise because the trainer bug means that I've not been able to check up very often.

A dragonite appeared in sightings when we were heading back into Durham city, in the afternoon. It spawned for DS1 but not me :( He's only level 28 and now has more pokemon registered to his pokedex than I do :( I have 94 dratini candy, but only a CP19 dragonaire! I need another good hatch to finish off, there.

When did the price of pokecoins go up by 25%?

Last night I was making my rounds to refill my eggs and is it just me or are eggs not dropping as often as they used to? Usually I can get 9 eggs by going around my loop three times, four at most (my loop has 15 pokestops). Last night I had to do it ten times.

I hope it was just an unlucky egg-dropping night, and not some change in the chances. They're all shitty 2k & 5k eggs as usual, of course.

No idea about the egg drop as I only ever now hatch one at a time.

Pokecoins went up after Christmas. Niantic are getting greedy!

My local gyms are being spoofed. Normally they're team Mystic with a regular core of visitors, but they're currently being spoofed by a cluster of Valours with high levels and repetitive names (Dishyfella, Dishyfella2). I went to reclaim a L3 gym this morning and before I'd revived my pokemon to put in the gym it was back to L3 Valour again. No one in sight. Its in a wood, so unless 3 people were hiding under a holly bush, there was no one there within range of the gym.

I've tried to fill in the report form but it asks for a value and I can't work out what goes in there.

Grr!

I literally have NO IDEA how to gym. DS randomly battles in one when we go to the pub for Sunday Roast but since he's 6 he's no idea what he's doing either!

I literally drive past one in the arse end of nowhere and throw one in if it's grey, once every few days. And collect coins.

Also hatched a Togepi today. YAY!
