I'm a couple of thousand XP from level 20. Once there I might just grind up all the rubbish for candies and evolve the best ones.

Oh wow hollinhurst. I caught a Meowth as I woke, going to take a gym on the way to the train and then hitting London nests on the way to work - double charmander candy please!!

I'm very happy the km on buddies has changed. Can evolve much quicker. Caught a cubone this morning, that's new to me. Otherwise it's been ages since caught anything new.

I've just been for an early morning walk out to the gym. Getting 6 candies on every catch (I'd read something about it being certain types of pokemon but pidgeys and rattatas are also giving 6). My dragonair is now getting a candy every 1.25 km which is better than waiting 5km to get a hit of 4.

Cubone has gone nuts round here. I think u caught 6 just in that 20min walk

I need Cubone!!!! None here yet but lots of haunters on the radar, double candy too!!!!

I have a buddy list which should allow me to evolve some new 'mon, just need to hang tight until I have enough evolutions to warrant a lucky egg, I've got about thirty so far.

I just caught one!

I should be able to evolve a marowak this weekend then - I only need 16 more cubone candy! FPM is showing them everywhere.

Got in the gym. I was expecting it to be the red Snorlax I had seen there late afternoon but a local gang of 3 teenagers (one or two I suspect are my neighbours) had turned it blue and left 2 spaces. Happy days!

I'm also in London now and have caught loads on the way to the tube. Am loving it. Double candies now means I have 83 to evolve. Will try to catch as much as I can over next few days. Damn work getting in the way.

Just caught a wild Marowak!!!!! So happy, worth scuttling down the road in my pj's for!

Sudden influx of Cubones here too. I've caught 6 in the last hour after not seeing one for months!

Ooooo I still want Cubones so I can evolve a better one, this is so exiting isn't it!

Caught millions of cubones, ghastly and magikarp in Canary Wharf so far!! And also a dratini which I am delighted about. 68 candy. Onwards and upwards. Yay.

Loving the event so far. Hatched one of my 5k eggs this morning and was another Nidoran, have 77 candies now but I need to evolve the new one I got today as it is perfect according to my trainer

Also caught cubone, had a marowawk shadow but also tonnes of cubone so will be able to evolve one soon. I'm also getting very close to evolving my hunter. Need three more candies before I can swap bulbasaur to Dratini, already have enough candies for draginair but was going to evolve with a lucky egg. Anyone know if you can evolve a pokemon while it's your buddy?

Deathmetal I don't think you can do anything with the pokemon if it's your buddy or on a gym. I have a snorelax on a gym and he's not come back in over a week and I want him back to power him up !

Loads of Cubones, Meowths, Ghastlys! Seen a few Gengars and Marowaks in the wild too.

Going out for a long lunchtime walk might buy an incubator and get hatching.

Waiting for an Abra candy I'm half thorough then gonna try dratini.

I've just caught a Marowak too. That's my first new one in ages. I've bought some incubators so I can take advantage of the extra candy when they hatch. I've still got Pikachu as my buddy but might change to Magikarp as I still need 100 candies to evolve a Gyarados. I hope they do more events like this. Off for a walk now!

Where are the Charmander spots in London?

QueenLiz- Green Park is a nest. Came through there this morning and got 30 candy in 5 minutes! Magmar are in Hyde Park so worth a visit too - my plan for lunch.

Green park is on jubilee line. I'm in Canary Wharf. Mmmmmm. A bit of a long way home me thinks

How reliable is Green park? If I go sometime this week it will still be ok?

Well I'm having a blast today. . I'm stuck in a town centre while I wait for my friend to finish a hospital appointment which will probably be another good few hours. I have no chores to do and can aimlessly wander around Pokemon'ing. The fact the kids are off school means there are plenty of lures too.

I cashed 10 gyms again today and currently has 12 Pokemon in gyms. I m still determined not to spend real money but it would be nice to maximise the double candy eggs.....
