I'm a couple of thousand XP from level 20. Once there I might just grind up all the rubbish for candies and evolve the best ones.

5k eggs. another bloody Sandshrew and another Bloody Magnemite.

I'm really mad!!!

I found an eight level friendly gym and spent ages levelling it up and was mid battle when I noticed a Dad and his young daughter looking delightedly at their phones then walking off. They sniped my spot. You would think that the prestige wouldn't be added until the end of each battle session. Very shadey indeed.

I drove round and found some other gyms in the countryside to level up so I have more than ten gyms and most of them are quite safe.

PokemonGo I did that by accident yesterday.

I approached a gym with the intention of training up. I hadnt done anything and a spot opened up and I took it wondering how that happened. then I realised.

I scuttled away but it was so busy no one would have known I did it.

In any event the gym changed hands about 4 times in next hour i was there in the nearby cafe.

10 gyms is ace though I never get in more than 2.

I'm doing it by driving to small villages and trying to find reasonable sized friendly gyms. It wasn't as easy before when you could only use one Pokemon per training session.

Bloody app keeps crashing since this update

It's crap isn't it. Weedles and pidgeys best avoided as the ball bounces off screen with them and the app freezes. I was also errored out of a gym earlier.

70 to 80 evolves you say, I need to keep my powder dry. I get so exited and evolve when I have about 30, then waste about 10 minutes of the lucky egg. So from tomorrow it's extra candy for catching, hatching, evolving and walking, brilliant! Does walking around and around count, I'm at a theme park tomorrow with dd and her mate.

I agree the new update has destabilised the app.

After I catch something my screen is stuck and I have to twirl around to find the ball, I used to just catch and put my phone down and it would do it's magic.

My figure on the screen was a bit glitchy too and I kept losing gps in areas where it was previously solid. I had to reload twice which I haven't had to do for months!

Yep, it's Weedles that have done it for me. The little gits keep on bouncing long after everything has gone blank. Have done a force stop to see it it improves matters.

This was the glitch I had today. I was a mysterious black silhouette for about half an hour

I currently have 73 to evolve but I wanted to include a new one - and have changed from nidoran (have 94) because of this Halloween thing. If I'm lucky I might catch two over the next few days and get to my 100.
Planning to evolve on Sunday.

Mine is crashing so much! So close to Alakazam I can't decide whether to swap it out or not. Argh!

I know I should swap....frustrating though! Found a regular Bulbasaur spawn which is beside an omanyte and an Abra spawn! On a group I'm in for the nearest city. Dragonair means I'll need to do a tonne of walking this weekend!

I need 88 candies to evolve Dragonair. Even with extra candies it seems pointless i wont get near it.

It's not pointless if it brings you closer. Of all mine, dragonite going to require the most buddying but hopefully supplemented with a hatch or two as well as wild catches of dratini and maybe a dragonair if I get lucky. So extra candy during the event isn't to be sniffed at even if getting to a evolve a dragonite is still a way off.

That said, I'm finishing walking eggsecute and clefairy first and think my Snorlax deserves a few candy to power him up more so maybe dratini won't get much of a look in. It's a long game.

82 for me liz so it'll still take forever. Guess it's closer to one per km with this event now which is better than 410km!!

Is the latest update the one that will block Pokemon appearing for anyone in a car doing over 30?

I'm 500 off going up to level 22. It has taken FOREVER.

i evolved another dratini as the dragonair i caught wild was 94cp. didnt see the point in collecting candy to evolve that.

so i spent 25 of my candies but new dragonair is 904cp

I seen your point too Queen. I have 47 dratini candies but my dragonair has a cp of 625 so middle of the road.

I've only caught 92 Pokemon so have so many other candies I could collect instead.

Decisions

i could walk omanyte i only need 25 candies. or Charmander ive only got 2 of them and virtually no candy.

I have only got 8 dratini candy however I am hoping to make some progress.

I also considered a magikarp as I am only just over half way.
