Pokemon Go #2. 6 balls to catch a Pidgey?!?

I'm a couple of thousand XP from level 20. Once there I might just grind up all the rubbish for candies and evolve the best ones.

Moments before I went up to level 20 my 10km egg hatched into a CP1083 magmar. The Team Mystic advisor said it was an absolute fucking beast of a Pokemon. Levelling up gave me 20 ultra balls, 2 incense, 2 lures and 2x3 use incubators, both of which are now 1.8km into 10km eggs. The infinite incubator is 1.8km into a 2km egg. I'm hoping for a Pikachu but not holding my breath.

Going to the launderette tomorrow, so I'll go through my Pokemon and send the worst to the professor, hopefully slimming down from 203 to about 120. Still at caught 70, seen 71.

Hi new shiny thread!!

Not much to report today, same old rubbish. Want to collect lots of shellder now because my cloyster is a total beast so I want to power him up right nice. Currently about 1200CP.

A meowth keeps showing up in the same spot on the way home from work but when I click on it it glitches and disappears and the menu buttons at the bottom disappear. It's happened two days in a row now - weird!

Not a bad day here- stocked up on a few magikarp and other water stuff by a river while DH and DS shopped (I was walking the dog too). The DS took my phone with him to a party and stocked up on balls on the way there and back as we'd run low. Still in 2/3 of the gyms I got in yesterday too.

Might go to Newcastle tomorrow and hunt the (real) snowdogs, and pokemon along the way!

I think I can manage 70 with no interruptions. As for how far I am:
Machamp 88 (need 12)
Oddish 83 (need 17)
Nidoran female 82 (need 18)

I have enough to evolve pikachu but it's my only ever one so I'm feeling guilty and not ready to do it. Plus it's cp 11.

So the only one I'm ready to evolve today is gengar!

Nutella. I set a timer when I'm evolving so I don't need to check on the game how much time I have left.

Saw a Tentacruel with 700CP and it ran away. Then another Tentacruel appeared at 91CP and I managed to catch it. Shit CP but added another to the Pokedex.

Eggs were good Sandshrew and a Bulbasaur. I needed both for candies to evolve.

I have a 485 Pikachu. I only have one though so I dont want to evolve him. He is cuter than Raichu.

Has anyone else just started getting lots of very low CP pokemon? I'm level 22 and this week have been catching pokemon at 10CP. I havent had them this low since the very first levels.
Does anyone know if there's going to be a use for them?! Obvious temptation is to transfer them.

Queen No you cant evolve Pikachu, he's too cute! If you turn the sound on he's even cuter and is the only one that says his name and doesnt growl at you! I've only got the 1 too so have given up walking him as my buddy because even when I get enough candies I wont want to evolve him. I was lucky and got mine in America, the same day as I got a Tauro! The hotel we were staying that night wasn't great, but the pokemon were!

I am not evolving Pikachu unless I get another one. He is my baby. And he sat on my shoulder for ages as my buddy.

We are all on the same boat then. I'm not evolving him either.

Ive just powered up little Pikachu to 509CP.

I did it as I had enough candy to evolve. The evolve button is really easy to hit by accident. So I;ve left him at just under the candies needed to evolve. I can always walk him again as buddy when ready to evolve.

I only have the one pikachu and he's not getting evolved either. Like the idea of keeping the candy level just under the requisite amount to save any accidents. I evolved a properly useless Eevee by accident last week.

I haven't played at all today but have a hunt planned for tomorrow in the sunshine. Still holding 4 gyms (one for 16 straight days now).

Having only ever seen the outline of a rhyhorn, today has seen me catch one in the wild and hatch two . That's taken me to 120 caught and 121 seen (stupid blastoise).
There are still a few new ones to catch and evolve which are in the realm of possibility for me, so I've not got any of charmander's evolutions, a ninetails and eggsecutor. Also only 7 candies until I can evolve my 150cp magikarp. I might get a few more candies first and power it up a bit first. Cos that's how I roll. Ahem.

I'm 2/3 of the way through level 24 and I'm starting to find it quite boring. I never see anything new and it takes an age to level up. 150000 is daft!

pokemongo the white arcs above a Pokémon I thought they show how much they have been powered up?

Don't know if this has been said already but if you want to get into a Level 7 ish own team gym, the fastest way to train it up is to repeatedly fight the lowest Pokemon with one of yours that is slightly below the CP of the one in the gym. Use one with good moves against the particular bottom Pokemon. If you then leave the fight before fighting the next Pokemon, you won't need to use revives, just potions and you'll get loads of gym points.

Can I join? I have been following since the start really but mostly lurking. I have currently seen 73 caught 73 and just onto level 19 and getting to grips with the local gym.

Currently have a few new ones waiting to evolve, hopefully next week I need 20 more coins to buy a lucky egg from the shop so should get that when I get the chance to take the gym. Have a jigglypuff a Meowth and a Nidoran, to nidorino just building up my stack of pidgeys weedels and others to make the most of the egg.

My one question at rhe moment is when evolving is how to choose, I have a few that have a higher cp by around 100 but the lower cp ones have a much better appraisal from the trainer, which would be the best to evolve?

Ran 5K today and only got 2.6km progress on my egg at the finish.

I meant progress. Not pedigree. I assume pedigree chum is what the pokemon become once the professor gets them?

I always thought the professor petted them and looked after them
