I wish it was easier to track them down! There was a Lickitung (?) on sightings but it was too hot to go wandering round the streets. It's gone now :(

DD and I did track down a Seadra from sightings once.

Hatched a third aerodactyl from a 10 k egg. Just got another one, hope it's a lapras!

Just checked. It has been done automatically! Now have jigglypuff as my buddy.

My Pokemon GO Plus arrived today. Can't test it out yet as I live in a Pokemon desert.

Anybody else getting one?

After 10 minutes of charging around the streets and a further 5 minutes of shouting GIVE IT A RASPBERRY! NO DS USE AN ULTRABALL! All while fighting the urge to snatch my phone from my child and catch it myself........

I bet he was really chuffed with himself. My dd has this smug type of face she does when she catches something new or something that I've missed. Dh says she gets it from me, that I have a way of saying 'THATS HOW YOU DO IT, IN YOUR FACE LOSER' without opening my mouth, while appearing to be all modest and nice so he can't tell me to fuck off. Ha!

Oooohh. I look forward to hearing what Plus is like.

I was going to wait until I'd read a few reviews and then maybe buy one for myself dd, I was hoping you'd not need the game open on phone, but what I've read so far hints that you do, so if I still have to keep tapping my phone every ten mins so it doesn't go to sleep, then I may as well play on the phone, also, if the watch connects to the phone via Bluetooth (I don't know if it does yet) then it might add more drain to the battery and it'll last even less. I'll be happy to do it, if the watch adds to the experience. Can't wait to hear what you think of it mrs

Caught my first machoke in blackfriars

Level 21. 96 seen and caught. Still not been brave enough to go in a gym. Had a good day recently on the Isle of Wight ferry. Caught a few new things.

And today, after using the buddy for a couple of days, this happened :

After soupdragon mentioned a Pokemon is within 200m if it's on your sightings I started messing around on google maps.

Most of the time I found my Pokemon without any bother but I caught an electabuzz using google maps that I might have missed.

So what I tried was dropped a 200m radius on top of Google maps when a Pokemon appeared in the sightings then a second circle if it disappeared with each circle narrowing down the area it could be.

Do you think you are perhaps taking it a little too seriously...? :o

Yeah it was more of an experiment and as I said the first 10 I found by stumbling into them as I dropped the circle on. Total overkill I know!!

jb007 don't be frightened of gyms, you're not fighting a peer to peer battle, you're fighting AI. If you get your arse handed to you on a plate the only person who will ever know is you. Also there's no skill to fighting, it's mostly just tap the screen and hope for the best.

I still can't get on unless I'm using (strong) WiFi. I may have travelled 2 stops further on the WiFi enabled bus this afternoon.

I'm running out of eggs. With DD back at school I'm easily clearing a 5k egg a day doing the school run, but we only pass one pokestop. I've currently got one in my incubator and one waiting to go in. I think I need to go into town to try to stock up.

I went to my mother's an hour early today, I went to the local park and walked for an hour. I can do a loop of six pokestops in just over five minutes, they turn blue as I walk up to them. That should see me good for eggs until Monday.

One method for finding a pokemon that is allegedly nearby, especially if you're in an unfamiliar area and you have no idea where the spawn points are, is to walk in a straight line until it drops off the nearby, then retrace your steps in a straight line until it drops off the nearby in the opposite direction. Then stop!

You have now stepped (so to speak) a chord to the circle formed on the map around the Pokemon. Retrace your steps to the point in the middle between where the 'Mon stopped showing up.

At this point, the pokemon is either directly ahead or directly behind you! If you're not following, imagine a line bisecting the path you stepped at a right angle to it, crossing through the middle, where you're standing. The pokemon is on that line. Go forwards/backwards until you find the Pokemon or it disappears from the nearby. If it drops off, try the other direction.

I took the IKEA chimneys in Croydon today! Yay! For all of about 5 minutes - it's ok though, I got my coins. And spent £50 in IKEA...

I also hatched a load of eggs, but only one new thing - I got a ryhorn, an Omanyte, and a doduo (all old), and I hatched a Tangela which I didn't have.

I evolved a Cubone into a pokey I didnt have.

Other than that nothing new for weeks. getting bored.

I'm focused on catching more of what I already have in order to evolve loads all at once with a lucky egg. Plus, of course, earning coins for item storage and incubators. I managed three gyms at once today- I was hoping for four, but someone kicked me out of gym 1 during my battling for gym 3, so I realised I'd better claim fast.

I use the fastpokemap website to find Pokemon if there's something exciting nearby. It's pretty good and saves a lot of aimless wondering around.
