What do you do for your DD Kobani?

For weeknights I seem to be stuck in an endless cycle of pasta with peas and Violife cream cheese / quorn ham and potatoes and salad / tofu fried rice, or just a PBJ sandwich with veg sticks if she's had a full meal at school and isn't hungry. She's not keen on foods with sauce and won't eat dip, which is a bit limiting.

@KarmaViolet DD isn’t vegan (or even vegetarian), I try to give her mainly vegan food but she’s so particular it’s not possible a lot of the time. Staple vegan dinners though for her are chickpeas, green beans and rice or giant cous cous, pasta pesto, garlic pasta, sometimes I’ll get fake-chicken nuggets to have with chips and a veg. She loves guacamole so will sometimes just have that with tortilla chips and a quesadilla, I make a red lentil pasta sauce she likes and she’s a fan of mung bean soup and lentil soup. Usually whatever I do for her is very quick to pull together or is deconstructed version of what we’re having

B. Porridge, frozen cherries, pumpkin seeds, maple syrup. Soft fig.
L. Macsweens haggis slices in a sandwich. Followed by 2 crisp sandwiches Blush. (I had a need for carbs clearly)

S. Green and blacks 70%
D. Vivera bacon and bean stew with brown rice.
S. Ice lolly.

@KobaniDaughters ooh, some good ideas there, thanks. My DD isn't vegan either - she used to eat lentils and pulses but she won't now, so she's veggie for school dinners and sometimes has backyard eggs from her gran who keeps chickens. She won't eat meat substitutes at all - personally I think the vegan nuggets are absolutely amazing and would happily eat them by the bucket but she won't touch them! I bet she would love a quesadilla though so I'll try that.

@KarmaViolet yeah DD used to eat all pulses but now only chickpeas and lentils. I stopped fighting her over food a long time ago, she likes what she likes and actually what she likes is pretty healthy so I just cook what I know she’ll eat (we do get her to try other stuff too)

She won’t eat spaghetti bolognese but she will eat lasagne when I make a vegan ragu and DH makes the pasta - it’s basically the only proper dish she’ll eat that we can all have together

Proper picky day today, just grazed on: macaroons, bitchin sauce, lettuce, a crumpet, some chips, cashew nuts, frozen mango and almond butter, a matcha latte

S: just right cereal with soya milk, 6 booja booja truffles, handful of posh M&S salted nuts

B: sourdough toast with naturli and marmite, dates
L: huuuge salad (lettuce, lambs lettuce, cucumber, tomatoes, beetroot, avocado) with a roasted aubergine served with harissa yogurt. And seeds over the whole lot
D: Vietnamese sticky tofu with Singapore fried vermicelli (both from Bosh Bash Bosh)
S: walkers sensations, double finger and apple cake (from One by Anna Jones, was lush) and HM rocky road
