Plus the cottage we're staying in is next to the sea/cliffs and has a little sun house at the top you can sit in and watch the waves. Nice open fire. Terrace with sea view, as have most rooms.
Dcs love it there too and Dp is beside himself. We don't live that far away tbh as are in the north but the thought of a whole week there, away from it all is blissful. It's like stepping back in time. I prefer it to going abroad. Ok so the weather isn't guaranteed but it's so steeped in history and just great 
I think the owners of the cottage may have to eject me it looks so cosy.
RHB for anyone who doesn't know it.
We'll travel outside of RHB too, go off to Whitby and places. Definitely visit Staithes.
RHB is so hilly that I get a work out as well as a holiday. I don't feel as guilty drinking ale as I burn off the calories
