I need to get my eye back in as I'm planning to get back in the swing of offering readings again in my local area.
I've been out of the loop for a couple of years, so I'm happy to do a few readings on here, because you'll be helping me just as much as I may be able to help you.
I should point out that my readings are not based on any psychic ability; I believe that each card contains multitudes and that normally a topic is discovered through back and forth during a reading, so forgive me if these seem a bit dry. If you could give me an area to focus on I'd be obliged, as with just a single card pull there's not always a huge amount to go on.
Let's limit it to the first 10 people and we'll see how we go.

@PracticalTarot
I have a second question, I know it's probably against the rules . . . but hear me out. I would like to ask this question:
"What is lies ahead for the Donald Trump presidency?"
TIA🙏💜

@Fedupcreative86 You say that things haven't been working out for you generally with dating, and the card I pulled for you is the 2 of Pentacles.

This can be the card of the chronic overthinker. It may be that you rely too much on your head and don't follow your heart enough which can mean you don't give in to spontaneity a lot. This card can give us a nudge to cut loose a little bit and embrace even a tiny little bit of chaos. Date the unsuitable people, give a chance to those you perceive there might not be an immediate spark with, and overall, try not to worry as much.
This card can also appear when we just have too much going on in our lives full stop. So it can be asking you to prioritise relationships, or perhaps put them to one side for now while you concentrate on more pressing matters, and come back when you are able to give the subject your full attention.
I wasn't sure I had the full picture so I pulled another card, which was the Page of Swords. The Pages usually initiate new beginnings and fresh starts, which is positive. Because they rule communication, swords can tell us to be mindful of the way we communicate with others and express ourselves. So it looks like there is work to be done, but something new may well be on the horizon!

@Tittyfilarious You asked about health, and the card I have for you is the 7 of Cups.

It can signify that you may have an unrealistic hope, or expectation, around a health outcome. This card shows us that you have many avenues to explore, but also that it isn't always helpful if you are constantly moving the goalposts or have improbable ideas about what might help. This is a card that warns against quackery -so by all means investigate alternative therapies that may work for you, but be wary of people or claims that seem too good to be true. It can be the card that reminds us that overlooking health concerns either by downgrading their importance or just hoping that they will go away, will not work.

It can also be the card that tells us not to be distracted by easy fixes, bad habits and wishful thinking about our health. It tells us to focus hard on the outcome and not get sidetracked. There is no magic bullet here unfortunately, just prioritising self care and a routine that works for you.

@ClementsR2024 The card I have for you is The Hermit

You say you are feeling Meh and need direction. The Hermit is the card that asks us to withdraw, to look and focus inward to identify what it is we need that will nourish us. Whenever a major arcana card arrives, it is usually because we are dealing with some of life's big themes. So if that is the case with you, don't beat yourself up. We should never underestimate the benefits of introspection and self-reflection.
In the Fool's Journey, The Fool has just learned about harnessing his inner fortitude in the Strength card, and this (The Hermit) is his last chance to reflect on his own story and his inner world before he moves on to the concept of Fate and change in The Wheel of Fortune. He has learned self-determination and courage, but he needs to focus on his own sense of self concerning spirituality.

The Hermit carries a lamp that represents the light of knowledge that is gained by turning our gaze inward and learning about ourselves. You may feel that there is little to be gained by this, or that is overly self-indulgent. But to serve others, you must first serve yourself, and so through a period of introspection, you may perhaps replenish the natural resources that allow you to find a bit more of a calling. I wish you luck -I've been there and I recognise the feeling of grey drudgery the world can hold.
When you ask yourself what it is that you want, unfortunately you do have to be prepared to listen to the answer you give yourself!

@Diplidocus4 Your card is the 8 of wands, which is a great card to see when referencing property as it is all about speed of movement. It can be an indication that you are moving too slowly and need to speed up, but it could also be telling you to slow down -only you will know where on the spectrum of speed you are! What it is not doing, is telling you that the pace you are currently going at is just fine -this card always comes as a suggestion to change the pace.
Because we are dealing with Wands, outcomes are almost always positive. A situation that may have felt stagnant for some time might get moving, bringing excitement and happiness. It does warn against rushing headlong into decisions, even when things are moving at a fast pace. Keep your eyes and ears open and your wits about you, will be a good idea.

With work, I pulled the Knight of Swords. He can represent someone who is still figuring out what it is they want to do with their career, so he can pop up when someone is looking to change careers, shift focus or change direction. He could represent someone in your working life who has barged in and is full of new ideas (not all of them great) and who has disrupted your way of working. This is the card I would expect to see when there are ruffled feathers under a new boss or manager. Because he is from the suit of swords, the solution is always mediation through talking, and working through ideas in a calm and measured manner.

@mama999 You asked about your children and if they will do well in school. I pulled The World, which is the final card of The Major Arcana and as such represents accomplishments and achievements. Whenever this card appears, it tells us there will be a happy outcome. So with regard to school, I would expect children to settle in, have friends and have no major upsets. Only you will know what this means for you -for some people it will be enough that their children are settled in school socially, for others it can represent a sense of achievement through exam results -it doesn't automatically bestow all of those things to all people -high achieving children will remain so, children who have struggled may find their path becomes easier but not necessarily also become world beating astrophysicists.
Another card fell out as I pulled The World, which was the 7 of wands. I found this an interesting addition, as it can represent obstacles, and overcoming difficulties. It is a card that asks us to push ourselves beyond our limits occasionally, and I wonder if the two things are related. If so, you have no need to worry, any obstacles in the way will be helped immeasurably by the wonderful healing power of the first card.

@Illegally18 Firstly, I am so sorry to hear that you have lost your lovely Mum. Whatever I am about to say with regards to the card I have for you, I do hope that you have the right sort of support and have people around you who you can lean on.
I pulled The King of Cups. He is a man who is very aware of and in tune with his feelings. This can be such a wonderful blessing, but he is also a person who is capable of being torn down by his grief, if he allows himself to be. He has links to the sign Pisces, and all of the compassionate and deep thinking nature that the sign is known for. Pisces can represent the illusions and grip of addictions, or addictive habits, so I wonder if this is someone in your life who is not fully moving on or coping well with their bereavement. Because Pisces is the last sign of the zodiac, it also represents death and rebirth in the following sign of Aries, so a positive view would be that once you/they have been able to move through your sadness, a new cycle can be allowed to begin.

I pulled another card for you and it is The Magician, who is the first card in the Major Arcana, and so in that respect, also represents new beginnings. He connects the world of spirit with the world of the living, and as such, helps us heal by understanding our own agency -we can choose to grieve, or we can choose to process the grief and move forward. Because, he tells us, everything is linked. 'As above, so below.' So the meaning and purpose that your Mum had during her life is still relevant, still living in you and will never end.

@Theflopside Sometimes the cards I pull really make me smile. I asked your question, and the card that pulled was the three of cups. You asked if you would find a good friend. I suspect a question like this is asked because your current friends are few, or they are lacking. And the 3 of cups is often known as the 'Joy' card, or the 'celebration' card as it shows three women dancing together, holding their cups aloft. So in a very basic sense -yes, you will find a good friend. Perhaps more than one!
However, I wouldn't be worth my salt if I didn't wonder if the answer also holds a clue to the question.
I wonder if the lack of a good friend is down to a breakdown within a group of three friends? The threes can sometimes represent something that is transitory, there is a coming together, a celebration, and then that splinters away. Perhaps two people have formed a closer friendship out of the three and you feel a little sidelined? Perhaps they have been actively hurtful and conniving. This card does sometimes show itself to represent closeness between females, sometimes to the point over enmeshment. It is a trinity -it can represent three individuals, or a father, mother and child, or a husband, wife and affair partner. So trinities can be solid, or they can be tricky.
I pulled another card to clarify, and it was the 10 of swords. That tells me that whatever has brought you to where you are now cannot be undone. It is the card of being figuratively 'stabbed in the back.' In a situation regarding friendships, this unequivocally says there is no going back. You can only go forward.

@AndThereSheGoes Your question related to your son, and whether he would be ok. You asked for a Yes or no answer, and the card I pulled is the 10 of Pentacles, which is a Yes.
The card shows a loving, warm, fulfilled home. It is the card of a long life well lived, a happy family, contentment, children and animals. There are virtually no downsides to this card, and if there is one it would only be a warning against being too complacent.
I hope this helps you. It certainly isn't a card to inspire worry. You say he is currently away, and hopefully this is showing that he is somewhere calm, plentiful and loving. If it's not indicating where he is, then perhaps it is a nudge to remind him that this is the home that awaits him on his return.

@PracticalTarot thank you.
Weirdly enough, after several false starts he is coming home on Monday.

PracticalTarot · 08/02/2025 15:10

@kmr24 Your card is The Devil.
He often comes up in readings to do with relationships because he represents the underlying forces that can threaten to destabilise a partnership. He can stand for coercion, control, jealousy, inflexible thoughts, bad influences, resentments... He can represent the ties that bind us to other people which seem impossible to overthrow. This can be the card of a couple planning to divorce, who have to share the house and the terrible atmosphere while the house sale goes through. It can be the card that shows us how tied we are to our parents, and their inflexible way of doing things that you long to change, but can't find the heart to.
The Devil has to show us these things, because without them, we will not ever realise that we can change our circumstances for the better. The Devil is there to be something to reject, to kick back against. We should be thankful for his presence in a way, because if he wasn't there, if we weren't aware of just how awful the situation is, we would be stumbling about in the dark for even longer. He is the card that says: This, and No More. It is time to change, to transform.
The card that comes after The Devil is The Tower which is a card that heralds a very different set of circumstances. So if we listen to The Devil -although he speaks about negative patterns, his message will guide us to the next stage of our life's journey.

@ViolettaDePensy You asked about your book. The card I pulled for you is The Knight of Wands.
He is a very positive influence, although his message is that change only comes about through self guided action. He is all about initiative, enthusiasm and bold action.
As a person, he is someone who is not afraid to take chances, to stand up for himself and toot his own trumpet. The flip side of this is rushing into things without thinking them through, checking everything over first and going off half cocked.
So if this is you, the outcome looks very positive as long as you take the time to dot the I's and cross the Ts. If this is someone who is representing your interests it may be fantastic because they are a dynamic, cheerleader type who has your best interests at heart and will work hard to make your outcome successful. You still may need to keep them a little in check if they are the sort to get carried away, however! Good luck.

@adcde123 You asked about your health and of those closest to you. The card I have for you is the 5 of wands.
Generally, this is a card of triumph over adversary, it can be seen as literally 'fighting something off.' So it would indicate that any health worries you have are on the turn for the better.

However it can have the meaning of infighting and unrest among a group of people. I wonder if your voice is not being heard among the noise from the rest of your family? In a health setting, this card is saying to me that possibly there's a touch of the 'Elevenerifes' about the situation. So if you were to say you had a headache, someone else would talk over you and announce that they had a migraine. If this is the case then you do need to prioritise looking after yourself and not letting your voice or needs be sunk under the weight of everyone else clamouring for attention.

It can also have the meaning that you need to advocate for yourself, so if you have not had the outcome you would like, this is the card that says to keep fighting, get a second opinion and try again.

@Whimsicalgrape The card I pulled for your Finances is The Page of Pentacles. The Pages all represent a new start or a beginning, and Pentacles are a great suit to see come up when talking about financial matters as they largely represent money. This could be anything from a job offer to a lottery win to an opportunity to invest, or the sale of property. They do represent matters in their infancy, so gains are not necessarily huge ones right now, but they have the potential to grow.
With regard to your Son's health, I pulled the Hermit. This is a card that demands rest and recuperation. It asks us to draw on all our resources in order to mend. It is neither a positive nor a negative card, even though the card itself looks gloomy. It is a card that asks us to recognise that we need time to look after ourselves inside and out. Healing may take a long time, but it can be aided by nourishing the soul as well as the body.

@SassK Can you shake off the shackles? Yes you can, but the card is asking you to be devious as hell.
The card is the 7 of swords. Also known as The Thieves card, it normally arrives when lying and cheating or some sort is afoot. Everything about this card is slippery. It shows a man running away from a settlement holding 5 swords. He has left 2 behind him. We don't know if he didn't want those particular swords, if he is going to come back for them later, or if he simply couldn't carry them. He knows they are there, as we see him looking back over his shoulder. For whatever reason, he has decided that now is the time to cut his losses and get out.
He glances back to make sure he is not being followed. In the far distance is a group of people. It is unclear if they are aware of what is happening, but there is the potential for his actions to be discovered.
This card is asking you to act -if not actively dishonestly, then with a huge amount of circumspection and caution. Tell no-one your plans, trust no-one, act alone. And when you pick up those swords, know which ones are valuable to you so you pick the right ones because you only get one shot at getting it right.
Bon Chance!

@australia200 I picked two cards for you and they are The Empress and The Queen of Swords.
Generally, The Empress represents reproductive health. She is a Mother, and governs all aspects of sex, reproduction, childbirth and parenting. She is a very welcome card to see in a question about health and recovery because she radiates wellness. She is calm, measured, bountiful. She is every inch the positive outcome.

The Queen of Swords, less so. She is called The Widow Queen, and she understands loss. Whereas the Empress is outward looking, warm and confiding, the Queen is brittle, wintry and solitary.

These two cards might represent two sides of the same coin, and be asking you to see if there is a way of integrating the two. For example, the queen may represent repressed or difficult emotions, and the Empress is the desired outcome. Balance seems to be the key here, the cards are asking you not to go off too far in either direction.

Hello! If you have chance, I’d love a card please 😊. My question is about friendships.

PracticalTarot · 08/02/2025 16:48

@AlwaysRoomForGin I'm going to try and answer your question holistically. You know when you're playing Charades and you make the big circle with your arms indicating 'The Whole Answer'? Well here we go.

Your card is the Ace of Cups. There is something eternal about this card -the water that pours from it into the sea is magically returned back to the cup in an endless flow. Rather prosaically it's the magic porridge pot of the Tarot. Except with this card your village doesn't end up swamped in porridge.

Money that you spend will be returned to you, Energy expended will be matched by other people. It is the card of Karmic Flow. The lyric by The Beatles '...in the end the love you take is equal to the love you make' sprung to mind for me here. It's not to say you can't put a foot wrong, but it is saying give generously, of time, money, energy, love, and all of that will be returned to you threefold. It matters not if you don't have much to give in real terms, this card rewards intent.

It sounds like to might be up against it at the moment, but if you can give yourself that one last selfless push over the edge and think of Erin Hanson's words:
'...There is freedom waiting for you on the breezes of the sky, and you ask 'What if I fall?' Oh but my darling, what if you fly?”
