... does it really have to be called My little pony? I am sorry if that sounds ungrateful but I am worried we might upset people who really want to discuss what to do about Glittery Prancer's lost sequinned comb.

I think 'Mumsnet pony club' would attract the right sort.

I will do the exercise properly this evening.

IorekByrnison · 13/01/2009 14:15

lol at sublimation for a throatlash.

Actually this all seems oddly appropriate - is the horse not a symbol of the unconscious mind.

Procrastination featured rather prominently in my mind map too. It is an awful thing, but then again, without it we wouldn't be here in the tack room having a lovely time. I would be busy furthering my career in a beautifully clean house.

I don't think being idle is the same thing as procrastinating. I think being idle sometimes is terribly good for you.

I did think this morning that I might invent a computer chair/exercise bicycle to help make Mumsnet a high calorie burning occupation. You would have to type your post and then you have to pedal the words onto the thread - one revolution for a consonant and two revolutions for a vowel. And you have to star jump at the begining and end of every post. And perhaps a press up if you want to use an emoticon to make it a whole body workout.

It would have been quite funny if MNHQ had named the horsey topic "Smack the Pony" as opposed to "My Little Pony".

Yes! That would have been good. I liked that programme.

I think it's also a euphemism for female masturbation..... which brings us right back to Wankers' Corner. The perfect place to discuss the G spot orgasm.

Well I'll be jiggered.

I didn't know that.

IorekByrnison · 13/01/2009 21:16

Jiggered? Is that another euphemism?

Happy idleness is sadly impossible for the procrastinator unless forcibly detained somewhere. Things To Be Done are always hanging around like bothersome flies on a picnic.

snoringnightmare · 13/01/2009 21:32

I always thought it was 'Spank the pony' although I might be heavy handed.

Horses are supposed to be a symbol of the unconscious mind I've been told. Something to do with control.

Feel like I need to light a cigar and lean back in a leather chair.

Threadworm · 13/01/2009 21:42

I googled 'smack the pony' and wiki says that the comedy show's title was 'meant to sound like' a euphemism for female masturbation.

I believe that in horseracing circles the expression is 'misuse of the whip'. You can get fined for it.

snoringnightmare · 13/01/2009 22:06

Blows cigar smoke. Contemplates.

Swedes, why are you wearing that cape darhlink or have I missed something? (again)

Threadworm · 14/01/2009 10:13

Perhaps swedes is delivering cupcakes to Gransnet
