Hi, this is my newly purchased foal. He's 9 months old and just the sweetest, kindest, most laid back little guy.

But he has no name!

I've been wracking my brains for the perfect name but I'm drawing a blank! He's a purebred (registered) New Forest. He has an official name but not a day to day one. The official one can't be shortened.

No rhyme or reason, as soon as I clicked on his picture, 'Raymond' came to mind. It means 'wise protector', apparently and it suits him to a tee. Lovely horse, whatever you decide to name him.

I was going to suggest Phantom because of his interesting markings as in phantom of the opera but probably too formal for an everyday name. Unless u called him Tommy for short? He's gorgeous.

I can’t help with a name but I have a 9 month old new forest foal and her name has evolved with her, she’s so far princess, squeaks and rora! Mainly rora or princess now, her name is Hayward’s aurora so it has come from her name in a way
