Hi, this is my newly purchased foal. He's 9 months old and just the sweetest, kindest, most laid back little guy.

But he has no name!

I've been wracking my brains for the perfect name but I'm drawing a blank! He's a purebred (registered) New Forest. He has an official name but not a day to day one. The official one can't be shortened.

Or Nova, because originally it was the Nova Forest.

These are all great! Thank you all very much. I'm going to ruminate on them for a bit and maybe try out a couple to see which fits him best. Annoyingly he's not coming to live with me until next week 😒😞

The front runner at the moment is Monty. After the Montagus of Beaulieu (thank you to whoever suggested that). We also live very near the Forest.

I want a name that can be shortened and a 'soft' name because he's so little and a bit timid.
