Other requirements for staff room entry include the ability to find the staff room, the ability to find a clean mug in the staff room, knowledge of the photocopier codes, and the ability to sniff out where the booze is stashed - Thirsty Tuesdays, Fizz Fridays now in operation. Do not sit on the chairs and do wear a mask. Finally, upload your covid test results twice a week on Wednesdays and Sundays.

I have walked the puppy, made a chocolate cake, tidied a bit, imparted Cooking Wisdom to DS for Uni (on the subject of bacon butties: find a decent cafe, don’t be faffing around with bacon unless you like cleaning grill pans) and laid in a darkened room reading like when I was a teenager. So a cracking Sunday

Looong walk in the sun this afternoon, so I'm feeling a little pink around the gills and wishing I was one of those people who tans effortlessly. It felt good to get out beyond my garden even if there were rather more hills involved than I would have liked. I also wish I was young, slim and fit.

I'm waiting with bated breath for the Grauniad-style Blind Date post mortem!

Boring chat alert, anyone been absolutely floored with tiredness after their second vaccine? Had Pfizer and no other side effects but I'm exhausted. Or is it just end of term tired?

I think it’s quite a common side effect. I felt cold and a bit weird the day after my first dose of Pfizer.

I don’t remember being unusually tired, but I have issues with chronic fatigue. I may have just put tiredness down to that.

I was mostly just surprised that I didn’t get ill because my sister and a friend from work were both felt really rough after the second.

I am feeling bronzed and knackered. Went out to various plant nurseries with sil, spent a fortune, and have had a gentle afternoon filling up all my patio pots.
I would relax with a cool G&T right now, except that dd has asked for a lift somewhere (boozy evening so no driving for her).

I need to buy aphid destroyer. I'm going to try ladybird larvae and if that doesn't work, a flamethrower.
