You are most welcome to this school staff support thread to get us through stressful times. It is meant for school staff only – a sort of room of requirement for school staff to let off steam.

Baiters, haters, goaders, and bashers can jog on somewhere else.

If you are NOT staff and just have a general education query please start your own thread.

Do not give the staffroom password to non-staff as it attracts the wrong sort of crowd.

Other requirements for staff room entry include the ability to find the staff room, the ability to find a clean mug in the staff room, knowledge of the photocopier codes, and the ability to sniff out where the booze is stashed - Thirsty Tuesdays, Fizz Fridays now in operation. Do not sit on the chairs and do wear a mask. Finally, upload your covid test results twice a week on Wednesdays and Sundays.

Dunno, Noble. Piggy is good at names and recognised some of my previous incarnations.
I was only Ange for a year or two, but have been on MN since 2006-ish I think.

Apparently Boris and Carrie have had a surprise wedding ceremony in Westminster Cathedral. I had to have a look st the inevitable thread about it and saw catfromjapan post an enviable Boris RL story!

Just realised I’d completely misread the story and thought he’d got married in W Abbey. How’s he managed to get the cathedral? Can’t have managed to get all of his previous marriages annulled, can he?

Prob just said he’d never been married before and people just shrugged and went with it. I don't think any of his other marriages have been in a Catholic church have they? Sometimes the Catholic church allows people on their second/third marriage if it's their first Catholic (ie the only REAL) marriage. You can only be married once in the eyes of the church, but if you've only had civil ceremonies before then they may decide they don't need to count those. I think it depends on the priest/you may need special permission from a bishop. I grew up Catholic, and have hazy memories about this.

Johnson has now shown he can take the piss out of the UK public, the Parliamentary system, matrimony, parenthood and now the Catholic Church. There’s nothing he can’t diminish and distort.
