Geoff Barton, general secretary of the Association of School and College Lecturers, said he believed ministers were softening to the idea of a phased return for pupils in key exam years. He said that bringing back all primary and secondary school pupils on March 8 would be very risky.
“I would be very surprised if they stick to March 8 for all pupils to return despite the bellicose demand of Tory backbenchers,” he said. “The stakes have been raised by what has been announced in Wales, where they are bringing the youngest children back and exam years in secondary schools from March"

We did some DIY and are now having margaritas. Not a bad Saturday, and now I can say I was productive for (a day of) half term.

I have come out in sympathy (well not quite ) with Mrs H. Migraine today, trapped nerves in shoulders, aching lower back, painful legs. Should have gone for a walk really but has a sleep instead. God , getting stuff out of the trolley in Sainsburys was a chore.

I was going to do roots today and do some work. Nah to both.

I'm hoping to just create and record one more lesson tomorrow (from scratch because it's an idea for pulling together the whole unit before the assessment so they don't all balls it up) and then I'm done on planning for the year group I'm responsible for for the first fortnight back and it will all be ready for everyone to use.

The year 9 essays will have to wait till Monday. I'm not prepared to do both tomorrow and on Monday I only have two lessons and I'm pretty sure I've already done and scheduled everything for those on GO and GC and I'm just going to be in a google meet for live support if and when they need it. Therefore I should be able to mark the essays then rather than take up too much of Sunday. Putting together and recording that lesson is going to be enough for tomorrow.

I've now remembered that we have online parents evening on Thursday. I don't know anything about how it works and apparently I'm fully booked but can't even check and see who has booked appointments. We're being trained tomorrow apparently so I presume a long google meet after school and then try and work out who is booked in and how I'm going to have various windows open at once to comment on progress sneak pics at their photos so I remember who they are

Meh. I've fasted all day today and could happily continue to fast but I am fancying a gin and tonic which may win out.

Sorry for the essay. I think telling you guys things is my equivalent of writing lists
