Other requirements for staff room entry include the ability to find the staff room, the ability to find a clean mug in the staff room, knowledge of the photocopier codes, and the ability to sniff out where the booze is stashed - Thirsty Tuesdays, Fizz Fridays now in operation.

If you come with a stick to goad us then that is not allowed in the staffroom and you will receive a detention

@noblegiraffe, think carefully now are you having another deranged moment? Shouldn't you be drafting your letter of resignation instead, as you so clearly hate teaching and all children?

Hmm so now I'm probably not quite old enough, not quite fat enough, not quite mad enough and not quite asthmatic enough. Do you think all of the nearlys combined would get me a vaccine?

I'm halfway through deep-cleaning the kitchen, which I've been meaning to do for weeks.
Have done the pedal bin and the oven so far, and half a cupboard - the easy crockery one. Not looking forward to the one with all the herbs and spices in.

I don’t know. I’m wondering the same thing with the addition of not quite poor enough.

Apparently they use a calculator which awards points, have seen a link to it somewhere although I doubt if it definitively tells you if you're in the new list.

I have done the Big Shop, prepped dinner (savoury filled pancakes), and done the dishwasher.

Now I'm going to sort my seeds and work out what I need to plant when (I've already found some bulbs that I should have done sooner and will have to wait for next year now).

I've decided tomorrow will be my work planning day, then DIY/ cleaning on Thursday.

Anyone following the Scottish plan? Interesting anyone involved in grading gets £400 one off payment. As a blunt reward and acknowledgement of the time taken it's a good thing.

I'm not really a gardener. I only started last year in lockdown boredom but found it therapeutic. I'm still at the 'do what it says on the packet' stage so not much help I'm afraid!

Yes Herc. I suspect it will be used to tell us we have nothing to complain about when doing swathes of additional work and marking. Likely to be taxed too (and pro rata for part time - even though you could have a full exam class and be part time!)
