The tension is horrendous. Everyone is walking on a razor edge, people keep crying, the kids are all edgy as well. It's awful.

I hear you!

Everyone is exhausted and unfortunately, there is so much still to do and no sign of winding down.

Result is everyone is getting snappy and fed up!

Roll on summer!

missyB1 · 19/06/2018 18:40

Yep staff and kids knackered, plus staff finding out which class they will be working in next year - an explosive combination!

MissMarplesKnitting · 19/06/2018 18:41

Sheesh yes. Everyone is hanging on by the skin of their teeth. Kids are grumpy and behaviour is worse....staff are as bad Grin

noblegiraffe · 19/06/2018 18:42

Not yet but we haven’t had the great annual timetable unveiling yet. That’s always a recipe for tears and angry conversations.

Nuffaluff · 19/06/2018 18:44

Yep. Plus most of our kids has Eid at the weekend so they’re exhausted from that too.

Nuffaluff · 19/06/2018 18:44

Had Eid!

parrotonmyshoulder · 19/06/2018 18:47

We’re all on the verge. Class lists next week...

crunchtime · 19/06/2018 18:49

We've just had our class lists and a few people are mighty pissed off. There has been a lot of movement between year groups.

49thJuly · 19/06/2018 18:51

The show (some people are treating it as an off-Broadway production) will be the tipping point for us here. Nancy may not be the only victim Hmm

ladygracie · 19/06/2018 18:53

Yep. Today was photo day and report deadline. Lots of very stressy people here.

crunchtime · 19/06/2018 18:56

That's very early for report deadline. When do you finish?
We've also just had pupil progress meetings and so everyone us trying to think of ways to make kids improve by 2 bands of progress in the next tfive weeks!

tinytemper66 · 19/06/2018 18:56

Just had my timetable 🤬🤬🤬

Ironfloor269 · 19/06/2018 19:00

Omg, this week is going to be the tipping point. Today there was a parent event, tomorrow the school trip and day after the sports day! Who is the nitwit who organises the school calendar, I wonder.

And then in two weeks, there's a another fucking parent event where you have to go to your child's school with a picnic for yourself, at 12pm, wrangle your child out of their classroom, find a space to sit on an already overcrowded ground and eat the bloody picnic. All for an hour.

49thJuly · 19/06/2018 19:01

Fucking sports day. Forgot about that.

OP posts:
ladygracie · 19/06/2018 19:02

Soon. It’s an independent school. The original deadline was during half term. That was early!

EvilTwins · 19/06/2018 19:05

I run a 6th form course. Even the big kids are tired. We have a performance on July 2nd - hoping that doesn't tip anyone over the edge.

ASauvignonADay · 19/06/2018 19:12

The adults are fine but the kids are constantly at each other's throats. I've had enough!

PumpkinPie2016 · 19/06/2018 19:13

Oh we haven't had the timetable unveiling yet (secondary) but I have seen a version of our departments. I am ok with mine but I have no doubt there will be some fireworks!

No letting up either - still observations going on at the mo, and of year exams, sports day, trip days, reward assemblies and planning for next year to fit into the next 4.5 weeks.

I am just too tired to do any of it Sad

I also go away 2 days after I finish so looking forward to that.

Just feel I don't have the energy for another 4.5 weeks of teaching!

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 19/06/2018 19:21

The end of term still feels like a very long time away.

Grits teeth...

Piggywaspushed · 19/06/2018 20:00

I am a woman on the verge.

Piggywaspushed · 19/06/2018 20:01

Probably actually THE woman on the verge . The one you drive past who is eyeing the traffic in a bid to throw herself in front of an oncoming milk float.

TheEmojiFormerlyKnownAsPrince · 19/06/2018 20:04

The timetable at our place is like releasing the top secret Brexit papers.

We know there is one, but no one is allowed to discuss it, as it is too inflammatory!

user109842 · 19/06/2018 20:08

Reports done, production done, sports day done. 2 weeks to go Smile

OhWhatFuckeryIsThisNow · 19/06/2018 20:10

One more fucking thing and I'll be found running up and down the corridors gibbering. Trip after trip, sporting shite, "events", exams (external done, now internal- for shits and giggles), new timetables.
A group of year 9s have got a petition up-fuck knows what about-but they are full of righteous indignation. Then to top it a mini plague of d and v raging through science.
Happy days.

TheEmojiFormerlyKnownAsPrince · 19/06/2018 20:15
