I think she wanted to wave a magic wand so that the family conveniently disappeared before the wedding - heaven only knows what reasons she gave H as to why they were out of bounds but they they didn't fit her narrative.

I would not assume that MM took a principled stance that any potentially pertinent information had to be shared with her spouse, let alone her in-laws.

They also knew damn well Thomas Snr wouldn't be extradited to face charges in the Philippines and would be deemed as having no capacity in the US due to dementia so there wouldn't be a trial at all.

All they needed was the 'story' and of such disgusting and shocking allegations that most will just read the headlines and take it as true which is what the media is heavily pushing it as.

Now we DEFINITELY know that Meghan could absolutely NOT reconcile with her father as she discovered he was a monster, she was in full lioness mode protecting her children, and we should feel deep shame we thought it was because she was a nasty, narcissistic viper who didn't want her fat old hillbilly dad cramping her style!

Yeah but there's a soft cutting off where you just don't bother calling or visiting. A hard cut off would be not inviting him to be at the wedding and give you away. Once HAM were engaged, it was expected that her dad - who she was on record gushing about - would do those things, which forced the issue.

I just went on the Sun website for first time ever and there was no mention of any Markle.

Generally speaking it’s not considered good form to thrust somebody into the global limelight as an alleged victim of child sexual abuse by their own parent’s hand without giving them a head’s up.

At best, it is a false accusation where you are used as a weapon to hurt your parent which fucks with your head for decades. Partially if it is your other parent doing the alleging.

At worst it did happen and now the whole world knows about it. Your greatest pain is now gossip fodder for decades to come.

Yes I think the good ship Reconciliation has truly sailed. I saw William’s interview about Kevin Sinfield this morning. He spoke about Kevin as someone who was “quiet” and didn’t seek the limelight, yet got things done and is a great leader. He also talked about this as a lesson to those who “think it is all about them” and always seek to self publicise. It was meant as a general comment, but there was also a possibility that he was referring to those closer to home. Even if he wasn’t, it was clear that he is not in any way impressed by those who seek to “do good” as a publicity exercise or to draw attention to themselves.
