Yes. He could be completely unaware. No way she would risk that deal falling through (the wedding)

As if! Of course he knew. They got the letter in 2019- Met Police have stated. Well after the wedding. Of course Harry knew!

jeffgoldblum · Today 15:42

I need to pop off for ( a small) while! , can I ask you ladies ( and gent) not to post the required 250 posts it will take to finish the thread in my absence!!! 🤣

Someone has just started a new thread about H&M so perhaps a few might like to pop across there and express their points of view . . . .

Starryfifty · Today 15:45

Why on earth did Harry make a point of saying it's because of HIM his wife has no father ?? He didn't have to say anything at all

dreamerhereawake · Today 15:46

The Sun and Oprah, same level of vacuous fake money making shite really.

👏🏽

But I think it was just an oh this old crazee best ignored letter. They probably had hundreds if not thousands of similar things (people around the world are batshit). If the Met thought it meant anything, they would have alerted people in the US, and if Meghan Really thought it meant anything, she'd have reacted at the time. She did not. Although now she's trying to make it Look Like The Letter was the reason for her cancelling her dad - her cancelling her dad started in 2018, before The Letter rcd by the met in 2019 (confirmed by the met).

I'd say OW biding her time. Post conviction (if any) interview. Meg the hero for all victims of CSA or whichever spin they put on it

I think Neil Sean said that Meghan was considering a big payday interview - a collaboration between the Sun and a US network. It could be Oprah but it could also be Oprah's bestie Gayle King is the big interviewer for CBS and did the big R Kelly interview about CSA allegations

I'm not sure Meghan would be wise to do it. A soft soap interview would likely cause a backlash but she doesn't really do unscripted interviews.

Yes. I was in the Philippines for a few months. Loved it. But I didn't love the many (usually huge red faced) Western men I saw with these tiny beautiful Philippino women.

Bangkok's the same, pipinghot
You can hardly move for hideous bloated men with some tiny Thai - even in the hotels where they seem to be on one of these "buy a Thai bride" packages, getting it on before bringing them home

Abbeycrunch · Today 15:49

MM also did the 'nobody asked if I was Ok' interview in 2019. A lot of their statements are going to come under scrutiny now. I also think the Diana documentary will be a hard sell as it will be tainted by all this.

I would think OW would take a dim view on this. She herself is a victim of childhood abuse.

I think this is how it was viewed at the time.

I don’t think anyone from the police to the palace thought it was a credible claim.

They were worried about the ex wife becoming another Markle connected person trying to smear Meghan - which is why it ended up in that department for ‘fixated’ people.

I’m sure it played at the back of Meghan’s mind though - you’d always have some sort of doubt if allegations were made about your parent even if you were mostly sure they were malicious.

So she may very well have decided to be safe and never let her kids meet their grandfather just in case.

Yes, there definitely seems to be some retrofitting of the facts

Exactly but she cut her father off in 2018. Why did she do that ?

Well that was because he embarrassed her with all the pre and post wedding shenanigans. I think he just didn’t fit her royal life.

I know what you mean but she cancelled him in 2018, on top of which the kids weren't born yet.

Apart from anything else, D needed to be the star - and someone who clearly intended to be front and centre, and was prepared to use sharp elbows to get there,

In effect, PH married his mother. Something a lot of us have been noticing for years.

In effect, PH married a woman doing her damnedest to emulate his mother.

But she cut off her father 7-8 months before the letter.

She gave interviews in blaming the press and rf for ruining the relationship with her father.

She also lied in her evidence to court in her 2021 court case when she sued over the letter - leaked by her 5 friends. Her barrister argued in court that the publisher had actively "harassed," "manipulated," and "exploited" Thomas Markle. Her legal team contended that the tabloid was responsible for "stirring up" and causing the breach between them. Meghan's successful case remained that the media's invasive practices directly exposed, exacerbated, and profited off her personal family anguish of losing the relationship with her father.

This is a totally different narrative that her choosing to cut contact after learning about CSA.

We have no evidence that this letter wasn't just a crazy claim.
For all we know MM and TMJ could have used the letter as the basis for a plot..? A very convenient crazy claim that they are now presenting as fact, for whatever reasons.
That might be too much of a stretch though - too much colluding required between them.

Maybe his wife told him that! I gave up so much for you & lost my father in the process, God only knows

Kingsandqueenz · Today 16:15

I'm with you on this . I'm convinced Meghan & her brother are in collusion, maybe they were never estranged it was all a big act? Who knows with the Markles.. nothing is ever as it seems..
