Also think the 'coincidence' of the Sussex's haste in coming back to the UK in August should not be underplayed.
Obviously can't know their financial situation but logically living a billionaire lifestyle without a billionaire's income does not add up.
I can't imagine Meghan, especially, wanting to come back to the UK after all the drama (which ultimately backfired) and bad press, unless they were completely fucked in the US and desperate. Coming back to the UK could be successful if they 'rehabilitated' their image and were welcomed back into the family fold.
Anyway, the timeline before the Snr's CSA story broke is as follows:
- The Packing-Up Period (May 2026): After Thomas Sr. was flown back to the United States for his leg rehabilitation on May 1, 2026, Thomas Jr. stayed behind temporarily in Cebu to clear out and pack up his father's rented property. It was during this packing process that he claims he initially stumbled upon the boxes.
- The Return to the US & The July Reports: Once the house was cleared, Thomas Jr. left the Philippines (apparently apparently mid May) and returned home to the US. He was back on American soil when he filed his initial digital tips to the FBI, the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC), and the Pennsylvania State Police on July 10, 2026.
- The October Return for the "Sting": Because the alleged offences took place on foreign soil, US domestic police didn't take immediate physical action. To force the issue, Thomas Jr. traveled back to the Philippines in October 2026. He retrieved the boxes from where they were being held, went to the Cebu City police headquarters on Thursday, October 22, to file a formal sworn statement, and brought The Sun along to film the entire setup.
When Jnr flew back to the United States in mid-May, he returned to his home base in Oregon. It was from there that he logged the initial digital tip-offs with the Pennsylvania State Police and the US federal authorities on July 10, before later flying back out to Cebu to execute the public handover with the media in October.
Just out of interest and not particularly relevant:
The distance between Oregon and Montecito, California is relatively short—spanning roughly 600 to 800 miles, depending on the exact starting point in Oregon.
Because the US West Coast stretches vertically, traveling between the two locations is a very straightforward, short-haul trip:
- Driving distance: Driving from Thomas Jr.’s home base of Grants Pass in southern Oregon down to Montecito takes about 11 to 12 hours of continuous driving.
While Thomas Jr. was in the Pacific Northwest and Meghan was in Southern California, they were in the exact same Pacific Time zone. This stands in stark contrast to their sister Samantha and their father Thomas Sr., who were completely across the country in Florida—creating a massive 3,000-mile geographical divide across the United States.
Jnr apparently did not contact or see Snr on his return to the US after finding all this CSA abuse material before he left the Philippines.
In his official filing to the Cebu City Police, Thomas Jr. stated under oath that the four storage boxes were located inside his father's residential high-rise flat.
Thomas Sr. claimed he never actually saw the computers in the flat. He stated that when he moved from Mexico to the Philippines, his son told him the computers were being kept boxed up down in the basement of the apartment block.
Thomas Jr. did not leave the material at the flat for the police to find; he physically carried the boxes into the Cebu City Police station himself, He didn't just walk into the police station alone; he brought The Sun's veteran reporter, Nick Parker, with him to film and photograph the entire drop-off.
I find all the above extremely interesting.
