According to the YWCA, Nigeria has a problem with girls as young as 10 being married off (and once married, being deemed by law to give consent to sex).

The age of consent in Colombia is 14, which has led to a sex tourism problem in that country. The legal marriage age was raised to 18 in 2025, but the problem of child marriage continues. (Source: Plan International).

Given her knowledge about her father, I find it hard to stomach that Meghan went to these countries to drone on about Western concepts of female empowerment, "finding their voices" and the dangers of the internet, when these kids face danger in their own back yards day in day out through legally and religiously mandated abuse by their own families. There's just something so off about all her campaigning these last 6 years focussing on children and the internet, now that we know that the issue of CSA happening to vulnerable girls with no access to "empowerment", let alone the online sphere, was apparently foremost in her mind.

Quite right: his title is the Duke of Sussex, not the Prince of England and remains so at the present time. Harry's vision of a public life of service was clearly disrupted by the split with the institution. Whether you approve of his choices or not, that is a separate argument from what his title happens to be.

How ignorant and stupid is Harry? To refer to himself as a "Prince of England"? Doesn't he know about the union of the Crowns? I do wonder where he thought he was when he went to Balmoral.
Perhaps a thene park.

I wonder if any SA charities will come out with what you should do if you are given information about possible CSA. It’s a good opportunity for everyone to learn how to take the proper steps and ensure that children’s safety is prioritised.

I don’t think they will say, relax and don’t follow anything up, someone else will sort it.

I still can't understand why MET did not share with other countries. I do not think they can come up with any good reason. They might say the person who wrote it, in THEIR, opinion wasn't credible. That is still no excuse when csa claims are made. The MET,as we know has issues. For instance their handling of complaints around Al Fayed..tip of the iceberg imo.

I can't help wondering if HM knew about anything about the Markles. I have always assumed that some vetting of families takes place when people marry into the RF just to check if there's something nasty in the woodshed.

Mrs D, although, like me, the late Queen had a shocking Resting Bitch Face, that miserable look she had at the wedding wasn't for nothing!

I'm not saying she knew the full horror of the Markles, but she would have seen the stadium-worth number of red flags flying around Meghan: Harry's puppy-like blind devotion, the headlong rush to the altar, the trouble M had caused with staff, tiara-gate (which I'm sure Angela Kelly will elucidate soon), the problems between Meghan and Catherine, the lack of rellies at the wedding, the demands for an even grander wedding, the air freshener request for St G's Chapel etc etc).

Whatever she knew or didn't know at that time, that face certainly predicted the future!

SiegfriedSassoon · Today 09:48

I expect in hindsight the RF wish they'd been more active in helping Harry find a spouse, he was obviously lonely and desperate to settle down. He said he found it hard emotionally after William married as he felt alone. But he must have met so many suitable women, I think it was always in him that he wanted to find someone that he felt was superior and alternative to the sort of wife you would expect for him. He was terribly unlucky though.. out of all the women out there at the time who he could've met, been attracted to and formed an attachment to.. she must've been the most toxic one surely. All those other women dodged a bullet though, it must be a slog being married to him.

As his History master at Eton discovered, he's not only ignorant about British history, but proud of it. What an idiot. I know he's not academic, and he can't help that, but willful ignorance is his own choice.

The thing is, when you're 15, that's amusing. When you're 42 and expecting to be revered and respected for your royal status, it's just dumb.

Are you suggesting William didn't marry for love? How ridiculous.

No. This is what H claimed in the OW interview He said his father and brother were trapped whereas he he married for love 🙄

I genuinely don't understand how Meghan puts up with him. Taking all her Entonox when she was in labour? Selfish, immature, addled fool.

Her fuller face and plumper cheeks were definitely an integral part of her beauty.

She just glows in those post-partum photos.

They may have but he's so unbelievably shallow, looks and glamor would be his priority

Harry is pernicious, isn't he? What a nasty man. All for money. Well I hope all the £millions he made from trashing his loved ones make him happy.

In fairness, the RF has had loads of mad conspiracies about their involvement pedophile rings and being lizard people. I would think there would be a lot of this type of accusation being sent.

So they must have to assess what’s credible and maybe between Meg and themselves, they believed it to be malicious.

But the fact that they never referred, has arguably led to more crimes being committed. There’s no escaping that!

Well since you brought it up there was the well signalled break and the "wisteria sisters" "waity Katy" period now airbrushed out of the official story and it would appear that most aristocratic contenders apart from flings said a clear no. As to love , whatever that is , who knows ?

It was, however, made firmly clear to Page Six Friday that Markle’s hands had been tied, as she didn’t have firm proof of the allegations and to make public allegations could have jeopardized an investigation

That's why they're called allegations, because there isn't necessarily firm proof one way or the other. That's why you alert the people who can investigate them and find or not find that proof.

or opened her up to litigation.

All about her again. Never mind that her allegations might have prevented years of CSA, she didn't want it to come back on her. What litigation was she expecting if she acted in good faith?

Interesting then that these hands tied from 2019 were remarkably untied when she wrote directly to the alleged perpetrator with this information in 2025 seemingly to silence him when she was under pressure in the media for not connecting with her Dad. She had no concerns at that moment of compromising an investigation. Then these hands were tied again from Jan 2025 until now.

Also 100% TMj and Sam M saw the contents of that letter that the whole world knew about.

Its not clear if MM took the allegations seriously in 2019, but she was happy to use them as a threat in 2025.

Those poor kids. They are young now but in a short few years, they will too be immersed in their parents non stop chaotic drama

@AtIusvue oh my goodness, you’re right!

We do know that Markle Snr on reviewing the letter immediately shut up. There were no more pleas for Meg to reach out.

Given that he also transferred to a very good facility in the US that he previously couldn’t afford, it was assumed that HaM had stepped in. Is Meg and/or Harry paying for it?

CoffeeCantata · Today 09:57

SiegfriedSassoon · Today 09:12

I can't imagine Harry is coping with all this very well at all. I cannot believe that he isn't starting to feel like he's been played for a fool.

Also, all those photos of Meghan that are being shared from 7/8 years ago, I'd forgotten that she was beautiful. We've all aged in 8 years but she actually looks ravaged by time and it's quite a shock to see how much she's changed. I wonder how much is due to stress and bitter thoughts.

And I wonder if Harry, twit that he is, would actually draw the line if M tried to pin the blame on the RF? I know he is, or was, besotted and hypnotised by M, but I hope he'd say 'Enough!' if she tried that on.

We'll see.

She's a middle aged woman. She's titled, privileged and a multimillionaire. How come she has so little agency in her life? She gives information to the tabloids, which is fine, but any hint of a criticism? She and her fans go to pieces.
She is not above criticism because she is a royal duchess.

I feel like I'm coming across as a paedophile apologist, because I keep saying, "we only have the word of two liars" but I'm horrified at the thought of a man being found guilty by media of being a paedophile, when he could just be a revolting sleezebag which is revolting but legal).

Same for me, feeling a degree of sympathy for TMS because of who is accusing him. The man is ill and probably dying, at the moment they are only allegations, and the whole thing is a complete muddle compounded by the paper they've chosen to reveal all this; a paper which in its rush to get a scoop has probably ensured that any trial won't happen.

This is the problem with any discussion of this topic. We know the men in question lived in the Philippines. We know why many men go to live in these countries. It's not just the fact that the groceries are cheap. A modest income and a Western passport makes these revolting men seem like Gods. They are two of hundreds of thousands. You seem them on their scooters " gone bush". Yes it is revolting but yes it's very common. This is seen as a way of getting life security by some. This itself is not illegal. I'm not going to comment as regards children or under age as I have no factual information about this currently.
The big problems are the timelines and the machinations of the Markle family. There is no clear picture as yet. As with any other issue there are Meghan supporters who will ignore the facts and just focus on the " but what about the abused children" , " the Palace must have known" and " poor Meghan why is it her fault" . We know the techniques and why they say these things. It's a touchy subject for sure and the sooner it is resolved the better.

Yes.I see what you mean. It is all so very awful ,if true for the children abused. Also so very grubby re M now going in with the Sun. I cannot see any positive way forward for HaM now. They need to be very quiet. But they won't be.
