There's quite a bit of odd stuff here. Why would a letter be sent to the Met? Thomas Markle has never lived in the UK, it's not their jurisdiction (and I have a low opinion of the Metropolitan Police but this really wasn't their job)

I think it’s very important not to let the abuse of children be mixed up in Harry and Meghans choices/behaviours over years. They are two different matters entirely and should stay that way.

Keep in mind they were engaged in November 2017 and Harry hadn’t yet met his future father in law. I think it would be very convenient for people to try and muddy the waters but it shouldn’t be allowed to happen.

They have varying recollections of epic proportions and continually show themselves to be liars and fib knitters.

Whatever the truth of what she knew and when, it raises a whole raft of questions regarding that letter she sent to her Dad that was subsequently leaked by her friends.

And Meghan's "friends " statement & her own have made things so much worse. A whole new can of worms has been opened & is totally contradicting much that was already said.. also if this happened in 2018 was Thomas Markle charged?
Meghan knew but said she cut him off for selling photos of himself in a suit to the press? Why cover for him? Why send all those letters ?

I think her dad let her down badly with the wedding. It was really embarrassing, and Charles was very kind to her (and Doria). I also think that TM was not ready for it all (I mean, his daughter was marrying Prince Harry!). The marriage just happened too quickly…

BUT - that statement raises too many questions

• Shes known for years and years and never said anything?
• over those years they decide the subject of their ire wasn’t to be Markle, but his family instead???
• Confusing and contradictory evidence is out there, put there by Meg n Harry, of why she was no contact. It was not because of what she knew about these allegations in previous (and multiple) media
• Why would she not say anything. Everything leaks…why didn’t this come out?

Yes, under the WTC rules (set by HMRC) it only mattered that you work a certain number of hours. There was no minimum earnings floor to be achieved, as there is now with UC.

In terms of Meg’s business, I think she does it for the status of being a ‘businesswoman’ and for the ego. She is the main product really, with purchases signifying support for her among the Squaderati. ‘As ever’ is just a glorified fan club selling tat to fans who’ll mostly grow out of it eventually, but in the meantime compete to show off their loyalty through the goodies they’ve acquired. The squad seems to love a bit of conspicuous consumption!

If the Metropolitan police knew enough to tell Meghan about “disturbing allegations” in 2018 why did they not ask the US/Mexican police to investigate? They should have searched Thomas Markle’s property/computer files as soon as he fell under suspicion shouldn’t they?

Goodness me, this is a bizarre and terrible turn of events. Nothing makes sense though. If Meghan knew in 2018, then surely she’d never speak about her father again, or would issue a “I’m not going to talk about that” when asked about the estrangement. Instead we have Harry pontificating and “blaming” himself.
And that’s if it’s true - Tom jr seems like a piece of work so who knows…
And that’s a very bold statement from Meghan, hasn’t she backed herself into a corner now? I wonder who’s advising her? A holding statement of “I’m deeply shocked and processing the news, I won’t be making any further statement at this time” would surely have been better?

The story has only broken hours ago & already Meghan has made it 10 times worse by her statement .
Why were the Met investigating? TM lived in America..
