Well we have had the attempted upstaging of the Welsh senate …..now the Oman state visit….we all hope that whatever advisors that they still have will not allow any thing to interfere with Aberfan! 🤞

Harry is a monumental idiot. Aside from anything else, I’m not a fan of the “life’s too short” stuff - in my experience it’s often used by selfish people who’ve caused a problem in the first place.

I sincerely hoping his “team” are frantically getting in touch with any types of media that could have even a hint of possibility of releasing anything tomorrow.

As an aside, I predicted green and red for C & C today, will be interested to see footage from tonight, bring out the jewels!

I couldn't agree more. "life's too short" is a hackneyed and meaningless phrase, usually to justify selfish behaviour.
William and Catherine look great of course, very elegant and regal. Catherine's dress is beautiful.

hacnocteequitamus · 20/10/2026 20:44

As a small aside, I’ve been catching up on masterchef Australia.

Watching everyone fawn over his spouse was excruciating. I had second hand cringe.

meercat23 · 20/10/2026 20:46

Surely, surely they won't be crass enough to pull any stunts tomorrow. I don't have a very high opinion of either of them but it is hard to believe that even they would do that.

Excellent 👌🏼. Funny how the DM gets totally slated on here though!

Love Princess Anne's outfit. I think flowing skirts rather suit the Princess of Wales.

What is it with these “journalists”? Push him, fgs! Don’t let him get away with his vague shade-throwing accusations and allegations.

Yes, I know - he wouldn’t agree to be interviewed if it was a serious, probing job. But surely they could ambush him - or lull him into a of security, as Emily Maitlis did with AMW?

This is what infuriates me. What’s the worst that could happen if a journalist DID push back a bit? Could they lose their job?

It beggars belief that H and his wife are allowed, time and again, to just get away with spewing nonsense. Boring repetitive inaccurate untrue nonsense.

And I know they don’t listen to advice, and that presumably they don’t have any friends/relatives who will talk plainly to them, but how is it possible for 2 people to make so many mistakes and NOT REALISE? Can’t they see that there’s been misstep after misstep? I just can’t get my head around it <goes for a lie down>

She wore that tiara many times and it’s in many of the iconic pictures of her at state events.

Mylovelygreendress · 20/10/2026 19:54

I dread to think what M will come out with after her father dies .

That one's easy, Mylovelygreendress; there'll be accusations of abuse, delivered with a tearful expression to suggest that all those meanies who criticised her for blanking Thomas didn't know what they were saying

It would fit with all those other things where people are reluctant to query what's said - racism, suicidal ideation, pregnancy loss - and for all I know some might even believe it

This isn't a forensic Jeremy Paxman style interview.

"Celebrity interviews" are basically PR puff pieces. All questions will be approved in advance and in many cases the celebrity will have their publicist sit in on the interview. If the interviewer were to depart from the agreed line of questions, the publicist will immediately shut them down.

I’m baffled too, Electraby. Journalists usually pride themselves on being tough and tenacious but Harry seems to get fawned over all the time.

Why? Don’t they realise that 80% of the UK population dislike him and would want him to be put under pressure? I’m not advocating a bloodbath - just less of the fawning and letting him get away with vague accusations. Just follow up with a “Who do you mean?” or similar.

Any journos on here with any insight?

Even so, it doesn’t have to be so utterly pathetic on the part of the interviewer- they could smile sweetly and sneak in a few pushier questions - as that veteran US interviewer did on the excruciating one with the bereaved parents. M was NOT happy, but she couldn’t do much about it other than shoot daggers at her!

BigWillyLittleTodger · 20/10/2026 21:16

Yes it’s hardly as if they are tying him to a chair and shining a light in his eyes is it?

BillyBites · 20/10/2026 21:20

So, the bottom line of that interview is that Harry has changed his position and has now decided it's time for the RF to get over themselves and draw a line under it all.
Sorry, mate. Doesn't work like that.
But it won't stop him doing his damnedest to make it look as if William is the unreasonable one who is holding a grudge by not shaking hands and making friends.
And what the FUCK are the BBC and ITV doing, giving airtime and credence to his nonsense when there is an important state visit happening, ffs. The sort of soft diplomacy going on today should not be underestimated and there's that idiot Chris Ship speculating that the King's silence on the subject of Harry's interview means a thaw?
Twat.

No I appreciate that but couldn’t there be at least some attempt at proper communication/questioning. If someone said to me something like “there are people who don’t want it to happen”, my response, and I’m willing to bet that of many others, would be “Really? Who do you mean?”

Puzzledandpissedoff · 20/10/2026 21:22

Surely not, @IcedPurple; Oprah told us at the start of that interview that Meghan didn't know what topics would be raised, and she must have been telling the truth ... mustn't she? Hmm

Electraby · 20/10/2026 21:23

Just why is he allowed to get away with it by EVERYONE?! Having a moment tonight - sorry!

neverhadnooneever · 20/10/2026 21:24

I’d like an interviewer to ask him about his father in law who he has never met.

I'm no PR expert. But if all these interviews are done for clicks. And all H talks about now is family/reconciliation/ etc.

That's gonna get stale.

Surely there will come a time when, for clicks and controversy, soneone will go off script and ask something provocative.

(Of course, that will get even more attention, which will be even more of a distraction from anything the RF is up to on any given day.)

Yes me too. H and M must have had conversations about this - what rubbish do you think she told him that he fell for?
