TBF to Meghan she was just starting as an actress the and was probably desperate for any work. And it was an unedifying scene but it was on a popular mainstream TV show.

Haven’t read most of today’s comments so don’t know if this has been said,
The Kings speech was lovely -gentle, intelligent, full of beautiful sayings and quotes and some lovely praise of William.

Watching the King, Queen, Prince & Princess of Wales, Anne & Tim, Duke & Duchess of Gloucester -they looked and behaved marvellously.
They represented us fantastically .
And they have as a unit utterly moved on and there’s simply no space for HaM any more. We just don’t need them.

The King talking effusively about William must drive Harry mad -but I can’t have any sympathy for him as he has brought it all on himself.
The loss of Harry has brought Charles & William -aided by Camilla and Catherine I suspect - much closer.
There’s no way back.
The monarchy would be damaged by having him back -they would look foolish and weak.
Harry spoiling -or trying to - the State visit by a HoS has IMHO finished any chance of reconciliation.
He is his own worst enemy.

Agree Daisy. Absolutely no way back. H absolutely had control over when that interview would land and made sure it was on a hugely important day for his father and brother. Absolutely shameful and I really hope this backfires on him

I saw it a very long time ago and was probably the first person to mention it on these threads.

We we can agree to differ on what we think about and recognise that for some it’s okay and for others it’s not.

I don't really know who was the first and I don't think it matters. That show was mainstream. Most American tv is vanilla. There was just a suggestion of what she was doing.
Not as overtly sexual as the men's mag burger flipping or getting down to her pants in Suits.
She's always played the eye candy. She didn't cross a line though.

I think Meghan is ultimately going to come out with "I've never said anything publicly about his family since the OW interview", and for the most part she hasn't. It's all be her influencing and As Ever. But I have no doubt at all that at home she's telling him "your family, you do what you want" while simaltaneously winding him up with "why are you begging? Just move on, they don't want you can't you see? I don't want to be tarnished by association and I don't want my kids to be either" and that will be her way out. He's toxic, his family is toxic, I just want to live my life and I'm protecting my children because I'm a good and responsible parent. And, Harry won't have a clue.

She has also not mentioned security publicly since Oprah, and has not made any public reference to Harry's court cases.

It was all touted as a four book deal IIRC one being a 'wellness' book from Rachel because there really aren't enough of those on the shelves already.

Despite its headline success I think the publishers probably got their greedy maulers burnt on 'Spare' and this is a big reason there hasn't been a sequel when Harold is on record as saying there was enough for a second book.

If it did happen I'd devour the freebie rag extracts then order it from the library as I did before.

Neither of them are up to any royal role, can you imagine Catherine answering a child in this manner below?? Catherine would have said something like “not today but I been in one before, are they your favourite car?” Or something similar, she certainly wouldn’t have chastised the child and put him in his place for having an interest in cars. I also hate the way the media dress it up as “lighthearted” in their reporting, it wasn’t lighthearted at all, she was cutting that child down to size, horrible, horrible woman.
