Well we have had the attempted upstaging of the Welsh senate …..now the Oman state visit….we all hope that whatever advisors that they still have will not allow any thing to interfere with Aberfan! 🤞

Meghan is in a good position to flounce (again), as she can say that everyone in the UK hates her. She can escape back to California sans H. The kids will be at boarding school. She just has to figure out when to do it… So, far all of her timing has been off. Let’s see…

Yeah. Sorry to say, I think you're right. God knows what H will do then. There are no bridges left to burn, surely?

She'll stick it out for Ingriftus and Diana doc. Merch the kids. Face reveal. If all that sinks, she'll leave

H is the typical thick posho, but has been given so many more opportunities than the usual "Tim-nice-but-dim" given a role at Daddy's firm.
He got accepted to Eton (lets not talk about the exam malpractice, eh?), then Sandhurst, then the Army (who I suspect really didn't want him).
Played polo, went on holidays, safaris, did very little in his wrf role iirc.
BUT he had a smaller bedroom in a fucking Palace and W got given an extra sausage and its just not fair <stamps foot>
M...well. What a disaster that H met her when he did - she played a blinder, I'll give her that. Worked on every insecurity and complaint H had and wound him up and watched him go.
I think his drug use has clouded his already limited intellect and he just didn't/couldn't see it.
W tried to tell him. Got thumped for it.
Where are all H's friends now?
I think a pp said it...in these circles, trust and circumspection is everything.
No one will ever want to be in a room alone with either of them.

Apparently he's much happier than he was 10 years ago and he has a support network and he's a Prince (paraphrasing from today's nauseating interview) apparently all good !

Badvocthebad · 20/10/2026 23:03

The CS book seems to have done badly?
I think most people (gen x and older) just think Diana should be left in peace.
Millenials and younger just don't care.

The scenes of what they are missing out on must be much more acutely painful now they are just a few miles away from it. In Montecito, they would have been able to persuade themselves it was merely background noise.

Typo

Ok. I've just read the sky news article. This is a direct quote:

"Describing his relationship with the royals, Harry said: "Some people don't want it to work out. I want it to work out."

He went on: "With everything else that's going on in the world, the most important thing is to reconcile - that's the key point.

"Scars stick around forever. But what your perception is, and what your mindset is to those things that have happened, letting go of the past, that's something that I would encourage everybody to do"

What absolute word salad!

Word salad and also a patronising rebuke to Willy for not being willing to reconcile.

Piers Morgan had the measure of MM when she first landed in Soho House. As did William. What could the Queen do? I do feel a bit sorry for H, as others have said he could have had a nice life, no worries. Now he’s just a poor little rich boy. To be fair to him, the trauma of losing his mum, and the tragedy of her death, has had a huge impact. He was vulnerable, for sure. But he’s betrayed his family. Being Prince Harry was a unique & privileged position.

BasiliskStare · 20/10/2026 23:12

Word salad and deftly avoiding saying what he is prepared to do to reconcile.

Allegedly not, @IdaGlossop
The "Sussex team" (who the fuck is that?) Has stated its not referring to W 🤷‍♀️

W lost his mum, too. 1 in 30 children lose a parent before the age of 16.
Its very, very sad, but he seems to have made it his whole personality.

I've just had a look at today's As ever post. Had M had the benefit of home economics classes, she would know that the handle of the teaspoon should be parallel to the handle of the cup. Had she been concentrating when she had tea at Claridge's, she would know that you don't plonk the lemon slice on the saucer but place it with others in a small dish with a small fork to serve it with. Her cup and saucer is in quite a heavy ceramic. At US$1+ a bag, the tea deserves bone china.

She poured honey on a scone… Not a clue!

It's easy to say he's not referring to Willy @Badvocthebad but hard for anyone to believe it when a. so many lies have been told b. everyone knows W won't reconcile because he's given friends permission to leak to that effect.

Just dropped. Pet toy or a Christmas tree decoration? Or door stop? Who knows?

Its like she thinks this raspberry spread is a cult classic. Who on earth would buy this? Though I can picture a SS super fan squealing with excitement at it

Yuck. And there was a flower sprinkle half sunk into the honey doing a good impression of a dying bluebottle.

I also think Harry was one of those cheeky chappie kids, always getting into mischief. Diana even said that about him. William was the sensible one. I’d say his friends’ parents have some stories from Harry’s school days…

As PP pointed out, the RF, MIG would have kept all of this in check when they had him. Now he’s on the loose, causing havoc. MM fancied the prospect of Prince Harry, but by taking him away from that, she’s left with just H. And now she’s welcome to him!

Only darjeeling or earl grey tea should be offered with lemon iirc.

Yes. It's very odd.
H: says something incendiary about W or KC3.
Q: You mean your brother/father?
H: No! Just some people...

Badvocthebad · 20/10/2026 23:36

Apparently KC3 has been very complimentary about W this evening in his state banquet speech.
(That'll set the HaMs frothing)

Starryfifty · 20/10/2026 23:40

And coming out with a statement it's not William he was referring to, it's quite obvious it WAS William. What a joke

Excellent posts by everyone this evening! , we are all desperately hoping that ham will not be so crass as to try anything during ( before, after) the aberfan anniversary…..god I hope they don’t! , I really do! ….for our American friends….imagine ulvade but a disaster that killed so many innocent school children, similar but different….something that was unprecedented and shocking…something a generation remembers and those of us younger heard about and couldn’t forget……😢
