It seems I have a lot to be sorry for :( @jeffgoldblum , I'm sorry.
So much for my foray into posting; back to lurking safely in the wings!
I didn't know about the SS, I don't think she minded me mentioning M's attire, she thought I was attacking her personally; a misunderstanding.

Actually, Sussex supporters on here have a tendency to claim personal insult, so that they can go on the offence against the individual poster and derail the thread.

I agree with the general point you were making.

I personally wouldn't launch a PR initiative to publicise a donation (which is contingent on sales of an unpopular product, and so likely to be very small) to a charity by having essentially a pap walk that draws attention to the massive amount I had spent dressing for the occasion.

Malala should have known better, she is tarnished by association now.

Do you mean the little flower sprinkles?

Oh no right, those are rabbit food.

Flopsy, Mopsy and CottonTail are going to have a shit Christmas.

Malala was definitely played.

I think (hope) she is just willing to go along with whatever brings attention and perhaps a few contributions to her cause. For the price of a few hours of her time they got some coverage. That’s assuming the Meghan paid for her tea. 🙏

BunnyBunbunbun · 11/10/2026 16:41

Not sure if it's been mentioned, but Meghan's tea date with Malala was a scam to sell As Ever jams and teas with proceeds from sales going to the Malala Fund for International Day of the Girl.

She uses the word jam, not spread, which might suggest that she's going to start marketing and distributing the stuff in the UK. It's ok in the UK and EU to call jam without added sugar jam.

Meghan signed their joint statement as Duchess of Sussex. So cheesy. Cross-posted by Malala.

This is yet another example of where Meghan has no idea what she's doing. The photos are full of Claridge's products, not As Ever products. The As Ever Instagram account is also featuring another company's products.

There won't be a market in the UK, so many myself included make up own jam especially this time of year & there is a massive artisan jam market. The likes of Daylesford etc have captured the luxury market..

All of the best places are like this. They don’t treat people different based on attire or perception of wealth. They treat everyone with great respect and kindness. It’s a joy!

This could almost be an analogy of how those who “royal” well behave. They value everyone equally and don’t see them as an opportunity to further their own agenda. Unlike those who think that just being a member of the family, be that born in or married in, gives them the right to use other people

Rhaidimiddim · 11/10/2026 18:20

BunnyBunbunbun · 11/10/2026 17:39

As I mentioned in my post on her IG post from Claridge's with Malala, she used the word jam not spread, so is obviously preparing to launch in the UK.

It makes it all the more sickening that she was exploiting the issue of girls' education to market her product and prepare for a UK launch.

Ah, I missed that aspect of it. A product launch, using Malala. 😑

According to Meghan's latest Instagram post

"Small acts of care can make a great difference to parents"

How she was wrote that with a straight face I have no idea. In the words of my granny she has more front than Brighton.

That's funny is she applying that to her own father!

Not sure if anyone else has mentioned but Matt Wilkinson of the Sun is reporting that As Ever is going to start selling in the Uk. Form an orderly queue ladies

Wonder if she'll give discounts to us mumsetters🤔

Absolutely.

There is something to be said for manners.

Who among us didn’t take to our beds after being told we couldn’t have our allowance if we didn’t do our chores?

I would suggest that the cost of the afternoon tea will be far more than the ‘net proceeds’ from Meghan’s spread and tea sales for the day. What a swizz.

Definitely!

But respect - mine, at least - for Malala has plummeted. Either she didn't do her homework on MM; or she did, and went for it anyway for whatever reason.

The photographic record of the event is cringeworthy.

I probably agree but am not entirely objective.

I’m keeping an open mind, it’s been rumoured that Meghan can be manipulative and love bomb anyone useful to her , I’m not sure someone from Malala’s background would necessarily be on the lookout for this behaviour from another woman 🤔 , however I do wonder if she hasn’t seen the media and reports 🤷‍♀️

Especially when your smartypants brother just broke your necklace in front of the dog.

Was it you who mentioned at the start of the posts re the Claridges meet that you had misgivings about Malala because of her selective support of some issues but not others? Someone did, and I've been meaning to do a bit more research on her and her stances on different feminist issues. She's always been a bit of a saint-icon on the periphery of my interest, but now I'm looking a bit harder.
