But it wasn't the RFs place, Harry is her husband, her next of kin, it is his job to look after his wife & perhaps Doria also as Megan's mother & closest family member.

My mother & hubby are my first port of calls when I have something personal & private going on in my life. Certainly not my in laws lovely as they are!

Harry could have phoned her Consultant or midwife at the Portland.
Because it's actually very serious, there would have been instant help.
Is Harry really so stupid?

She had the very best private maternity care . Why not talk to someone there ?

I advise mylovely, that like myself it’s not worth derailing the thread discussing things that have been discussed countless times over the years , best to move on!

Reactive Depression can present like that. It’s very real.

I get it that because Harry is who he is it can be very difficult to believe what he says but to dismiss a persons having an episode of poor mental health because we perhaps don’t like them doesn’t say much about us.

Same old, same old. I doubt even the most ardent Sussex fans believe it, but I suppose it's denial.

It’s a terrible message for him to be giving out to people in a mental health crisis. ‘Your family could be ashamed of you or pissed off with you if you seek help’.

Yes, that message contrasts quite starkly with the current 'One conversation can change everything' campaign, @TheAutumnCrow.

It's crazy that he shirked all responsibility here to his wife & also to his son when all he had to do was make a call.. it was easier & provided much better tabloid fodder to blame the RF.

Hearing your pregnant wife is suicidal and doing fuck all. It’s beyond everything else.

Now to play act some kind of mental health expert?

This is part of the problem - they have very short memories.

Perhaps it's wise to agree with someone when they are found to be telling the truth, and disagree with them when they aren't.
It's not good to just blindly believe people, like Harry and Meghan, or Piers Morgan.

One of the best pieces of advice on the thread, @PleasantGreenPorcupine

She would at least need a person in the US to pack, ship & manage orders

Edited

Maybe that's why Doria stayed behind.

How interesting that you don't address the other points about help readily available; Heads Together, Julia Samuels and Meghan being under Consultant care at the Portland Hospital?
Why did Harry do nothing to help his wife?
It was a text or phone call away.
Harry would rather see his wife desperate, struggling and unhappy...as long as he could trash his family for money.
What a vile man.

It’s possible that the RF have strict confidentiality protocols and there are probably rules about availing yourself of help from a charity you help in your official role. Conflicts of interest?

Also many, many people who die by suicide find it impossible to seek help from people they know in a professional or private capacity.

This is a subject that I have personal experience about sadly so I know that to be true. Many people are shocked by the death of a loved one.

And many women suffer post partum mh issues and I would have thought on Mumsnet of all places, people would not think it beyond the realms of possibility that MM could have suffered the same. Everything about her life had changed entirely.

I do not disbelieve him, nor believe him.

But stating that you’ve experienced two weeks of episodic depression is not showing empathy or understanding to others.

It’s a bit like the handsome wealthy white straight married male who that says they know what it’s like to be discriminated against because their brother is gay. (Real life example!)

We can only go by what they have told us. Harry did not get her the help she needed. Not even bother to say she could just skip a non-event with the excuse that she was not feeling well due to pregnancy.

I bet they are saving the photos of the kids faces for a Big Reveal, probably be something like the morning of Williams Coronation or something big like that to get the attention.

I very much hope that by the time W's coronation rolls around, the hamlets are old enough to tell them to sod off with their cameras.

I think the big reveal will be this years Christmas card, I can't remember where I read it but the logic made sense!

Her husband chose not to get her help. Do you understand what the levels of confidentiality are at the Portland Hospital?
Many royals and VIPs give birth there.
You're skirting the issue. Harry chose not to get help for his wife. Stop blaming everyone else for Harry's faults.

Is he some sort of saint?.

Due to their status as working royals at the time would it have been possible to have a house call with her medical team?
Harry absolutely failed his wife & baby here. Does Meghan not understand that, the buck stopped with Harry

I’m not. I’m saying, if it’s true then Harry is one hell of a shit husband and in setting himself up as a mental health coach he’s really bloody dangerous.

Don't forget as well as a mental health coach he's also going to be a parenting guru...
Well Harry actions speak louder than words & your actions ( or rather inaction!) completely failed your wife & son.

Of course. Did we hear anything about other royal women's pregnancies? The midwives and Consultants did their jobs.

I’m pretty sure that if they had sent a stand-in VIP to the Albert Hall that night, with the message that Meg wasn’t feeling well and Harry wanted to stay with her, they’d have been lauded for it. Absolutely praised to the skies.

They were still largely perceived as popular, modern and likeable, and the message that Harry was putting his pregnant wife first would have been positive headline news, with many good wishes being expressed from the Prime Minister to Battersea Dogs’ Home and beyond. That’s the UK that I know and came to love over the decades.

PleasantGreenPorcupine · Yesterday 16:06

Well Sophie is fortunate indeed that Edward got help immediately when she had a suspected ectopic pregnancy. Funny how that didn't create a problem and was kept confidential until they chose to share it.
