Still interested, still not bored….a small request please 🙏…can we try to keep criticism to actions and behaviour and rather than getting personal.😁

Two things I want to say
1), it REALLY annoys me when people flaunt their wealth by wearing an expensive pair of trousers like that (SO beyond the budget of 99% of the people they're showing off to), with such a blatant disregard for the fact that they would be completely wrecked on the first outing by dragging on the pavement/in puddles. (yes, and I'm also looking at Victoria Beckham here).
2), Harry's reference to sniffing his mother's signature perfume in an attempt to trigger his emotions re his mother - when it's been widely suggested that Meghan intentionally wore the same fragrance for their first few dates. He really was a sitting duck, wasn't he?

Ouch!!! What a devastating scathing article 🤣
Very interesting it wasn't behind a pay wall!

Starryfifty · 08/10/2026 22:52

I don't buy his grief trauma one bit. This is all leading up to the Diana documentary. Spraying her perfume (creepy af) etc.

Thank you for the new thread, Your Jeffness!

I'm just composing myself after seeing the photos of MM's latest outfit... I mean... the trousers are just an odd choice.

I'm short and I do love wearing wide-legged trousers. But they are more fitted at the top and I tuck a t-shirt in (because I'm overweight but I do still have a waist). I'm not the most fashion-savvy person but I know how to dress myself to work with what I've got.

MM just seems to chase the labels without thinking that she's so lucky to be slim and has worn some really fantastic outfits in the past. I don't understand how she isn't thinking more about what works for her.

And the money she has... she could get the best fashion advice there is and dress herself well. I make do with an old copy of 'What you wear can change your life' and the Vinted app.

WifeOfBaths · 08/10/2026 22:55

Someone on Twitter spotted that her bag was decorated with women in headscarves! Not sure if you can see it here.

Also, M's trousers look as if they have a front fly. The RL ones definitely have a side zip, which makes more sense for trousers masquerading as an elegant billowy skirt.

Mustn't bitch, though. Either pair of trousers would look like a sack of potatoes on me.

I think she’s tried to copy the RL look rather than go and buy the original pieces of RL. It’s what I’d do because although I like to dress well I’m not good at putting an outfit together from various sources. Shop my wardrobe? Not a chance. Put my hand in the wardrobe and take out a hanger with a complete outfit on it? I’m your woman. It’s just the way my brain works but I am good with colour (and shoes).

I love the RL trousers - not that I can wear the baggy trousers that are in fashion nowadays.

canklesmctacotits · 08/10/2026 23:02

I hate to put it this way, but Meghan “wearing” Malala in this way is just like when she was photographed “wearing” Gloria Steinem, wearing the H necklace, wearing a copy of The Economist, wearing Harry etc. The point of the images is a message she wants to convey, and As Ever it’s impossible figuring out what the message. Whatever kind of message can a person give posing for photos outside Claridges, wearing £25k of clothes and jewelry including a Chanel handbag, looking like a clown in ill fitting designer togs, with a woman who was shot at and maimed by the Taliban for being a girl trying to get an education and who went on to receive a Nobel prize for her activism. Meghan once said she “needs” to be both red carpet and humanitarian. Surely she didn’t mean at the same time? She’s getting on a bit now, far too old to think that might actually work as a marketable persona.

Im guessing the tote bag with the hijab-wearing girls was a gift from Malala. I note Malala left with nothing more than a phone and her purse…

Harry's headlining in the DM this evening waffling yet again about the grief of losing his mother and some sort of 10 day rule he has with Markle and the children. I refuse to click on it.

ABitFab · 08/10/2026 21:29

Dying 😝😝😝😝

Could this be the way forward for them financially? For Meghan to be photographed dressing so badly that fashion houses pay her substantial amounts of money to not wear their clothes?

Boudy · 08/10/2026 23:30

Do the Masterclass..learn something, gain something useful to help live your life alongside your grief.
Don't think you are now an expert and can lecture everyone.
It seems to me like loads of posters have said before that they just take short cuts. They can't be arsed to put in the work or the effort.
All H 'has' is the death of his Mum. He has milked this to the enth degree.

ShamedBySiri · 08/10/2026 23:31

Thanks for new thread. Struggling to keep up, between work and all the H&M activity.

Many posters suggest Meghan needs a stylist.
Is it possible she does have a stylist - just a really, really bad one, or maybe one who hates her?

I can’t believe that she has one , when she was still friends with that Jessica m , who wasn’t an actual stylist she looked much better! 🤷‍♀️
I can only assume she’s dressing herself in expensive freebies and either has a fun house mirror or it’s exceeding dark in her bedroom!

Having such an early life experience doesn't necessarily mean that someone is going to grow up wise and with something interesting to say or with the drive to continue to bring about meaningful change.

@BunnyBunbunbun wrote this about Malala but it is also very true of Harry. He definitely hasn’t realised this yet.

PullTheBricksDown · 09/10/2026 00:34

wordler · 08/10/2026 22:17

I really don’t understand why she gets her clothing wrong so often.

When she was snapped on the pub outing with Harry you can see how delicate her frame is - she looked lovely in fitted casual.

She could look amazing in properly tailored clothing.

Primark would look good in the correct size! As you say, it should be easy to make a slender woman with a pretty face look good. Yet here we are in slanket territory. There must not be a single mirror in their house.

Could she be wearing RL trousers designed for men? Hence the front zip, very wide waist, and the length and flowiness.

Just got home finished the previous thread, and am getting caught up. The Guardian did articles in 2025 and 2026 about the hundreds of people who die each year in Arizona die to the heat and cooling inequality. Maybe Harry's mentor should counsel normal people.

I now have 3 separate PR threads running in parallel so I get the privilege of commenting contemporaneously while not missing out on the jammy bits from closed threads. Morning everyone! To me, the lovely Malala’s afternoon tea story is a great example of mainstream media distortion / misinformation. I believe she is busy with her work and life and doesn’t read mumsnet, X or other sites to realise what else is brewing beneath the beige cashmere and diamonds facade our Duchess projects. She probably thinks she’s meeting with a philanthropist activist feminist who wants to collaborate on girls’ education. I don’t think she realises it will probably be a 5 min photo op on a stage with MM (posing in crumply clothing) and a 125 quid cheque donation afterwards, never to be repeated again till there’s another glittering Buckingham Palace news story.

in other news, Foxy prince’s hair is looking lush!!!

@hamsterwheeloffortune I ordered the dark advent calendars! Had to get a few to justify the postage :)))) going back to thread 41 and 46, apologies for my tardiness.

Good for Harry that he can just choose to say "nah, I'm not going to be gone for longer than ten days" 🙄
