Still interested, still not bored….a small request please 🙏…can we try to keep criticism to actions and behaviour and rather than getting personal.😁

I’m not mad.

It was only an opinion.

Lesson learned.

Something can be 'maddening' without driving one mad - I'm a Spurs supporter and the last 2 seasons have been maddening but I've still got all my marbles!

I think M might be happier (and less maddening!) if she started a Sussex Set of celebrities/wanabees - perhaps based at a Soho House near them? HAM are celebrities after all.

The announcing visits in advance seems a bit odd . W and C rarely do that nowadays presumably on advice from their security staff yet HaM are so paranoid about security that they tell the world what they are doing !
It’s almost as if they want something bad to happen ….

I've wondered about the new W & C model of not publicising certain events beforehand. I wondered if it was for security reasons, for health/personal reasons (so as to avoid dusappointment if one of them can't make it) or to avoid HaM interference.

They don't look "half in" to me, but they certainly look "half out". As in, over here, but private citizens and not "in" with the RF at all.

Christmas & all the RF events leading up to it will reveal exactly how out they are! Their absence will be so so obvious now they are back living in the UK

Net proceeds after all Meghan's expenses 🙄

Her expenses could well include everything she spent on the day she met Malala: her travel, security, appalling 'look at meee' costume, the day's 'As ever' business-related expenses, the day's PR costs, the Claridge's bill, the gratuities, hair and makeup, and a follow-up 'de-stress' session in Soho House following such a hard day.

That's a net loss, then.

It could be a bit of all 3 although I tend to think they don’t give much headspace to HaM these days.

I agree, W&C carrying on calmly & professionally as always... while H&M continue loudly & brashly personifying "empty vessels make the most noise"

AcrossthePond55 · 11/10/2026 15:03

I hope what's going to happen with these 'public appearances' (as opposed to 'official engagements') as far as the media goes is that the first handful will be heavily covered and then will fade away as it's realized that the public isn't clamoring for the coverage. At least I hope so.

What I'm wondering is if these appearances are to show how 'exposed' they are to 'bad actors' and therefore in need of govt furnished armed security.

As far as the Malala charity jam spread thing, it's for the IDG only. So that's today. I may be wrong, but I don't see a 24 hour head's up leading to much in actual purchases to make donations. So it was an easy and minimal cost gesture on M's part to gather her publicity or her business, and for her.

FWIW I don't know if it's been covered, but the reason her product is called 'spread' it's because it doesn't meet the USDA requirements to be called 'jam'. Jam is fruit+sugar+pectin. Spread is fruit+sweetener (other than sugar). Jam is cooked, spread is not. Jam is yummy, spread is not*.

*That last is according to me, not the FDA.

I now really don't think they want RF glitter. Or too arrogant to believe they need it. They have done absolutely everything to antagonise the RF.

Thanks @jeffgoldblum

Autonomouse · 11/10/2026 15:19

It is a performative, wealthy saviour form of charity. No idea why Malala got involved.

I too have wondered why Malala got involved.
I can only think that the meetup must have been presented to her very differently to the impression that we have received via pap photos, and any inside information.

When I saw that table laden with overpriced tea cakes etc, I could only feel that it was wrong on such a fundamental level.

Of course meeting in a luxury hotel no one could expect anything less.
However when you add in the extremely expensive and definitely noteworthy outfit purchased for the meeting, and the fact that the side entrance to avoid photographs of them both wasn't chosen, and when you know Ms great desire for security, it just screams the usual message "look at me"!

It is such a shame that H&M aren't self aware of how they come across, time and time again.

The thing is though, they really do seem baffled by the fact that the RF are less than enamoured with them. It’s almost like they think that just because they (well, Harry at least) are members of the RF, it doesn’t matter what they do or say but they will still be accepted and everyone will bask in their reflected glory. They really are unable to comprehend that they are just not that important, for many reasons

I just don't understand Malala involvement at all. She's absolutely everything that Meg isn't.

Where is the three car convey?!
This just really highlights how out of touch H&M are, Catherine our future queen & Charlotte 4th in line can travel on public transport yet H&M want taxpayer funded security.
The optics here are hilarious & paint H&M in a terrible light! They won't like this!

I hope Catherine & Charlotte had a lovely girls day out.

I think this shows how most members of the public, friends etc choose not to publish photos of the Wales family when they are living their lives as normally as it is feasible for them to do.

bluegreygreen · 11/10/2026 15:39

Yes - I've seen pictures similar to this previously online (not in the tube but another public place), and the response of most posters has been to tell the OP to remove it, as the child deserves privacy.

I wonder why the Sun decided to publish this time.

KCitsweyourHammiewevecomehomenow · 11/10/2026 15:42

Meghan again with her bra on show through a thin top 🥱

As a cable celebrity and daughter of a lighting director she is aware of the effect of flashes on clothing.

I think it was a less than subtle way to show that the Wales family can travel on public transport but HaM need a convoy of SUVs .

I'd like to think that WaC are not giving head space to HaM too, it would be preferable to the alternative, but HaM are such loose cannons, the pair of them, and there is so much about them nobody understands yet, such as why are they really in the UK, that I feel that WaC must have to be alert and paying attention because they do appear to be of special concern to the RF.

In their 'these are upcoming events' article, I'm curious which patronages MM thinks she can resume. Surely they were royal patronages and they're not WR anymore.

She's still linked with Smartworks I believe, and the Grenfell Kitchen. Though they weren't Royal patronages, the one with the animal charity ended after Megxit.

I don't think he had any others?

The article on Catherine & Charlotte travelling normally on the tube with no fuss makes H&M look even more ridiculous with their security demands.

We all knew that at student discos back in the 70s!

Nice to see that most people on that train seem to have been well-mannered enough to leave Catherine and Charlotte alone.

bluegreygreen · 11/10/2026 16:01

Most of the comments beneath Matt Wilkinson's TwiX post of the story are very against him having posted the pictures/video, some referring to his hypocrisy given previous statements that he would not publish photos of royal children.
